I can't decide which one to buy(budgetary constraints). Any insights/opinions as to which one I should get?

hmmm well if you wait on isolation, it will be cheaper later on. however, alien series is one of my favorite interests, so i would get that first, even though it is more expensive.

maybe flip a coin :P

I love the Alien also. I think Isolation looks really cool, but I feel like I owe it to myself to get Shadow of the Colossus(never played it). They seem similar games in some ways, i.e not constantly under attack by hordes of identical ret*d enemies.

i actually have shadow of the colossus but i only played it once. i have the ps3 one that also comes with ico. i am terrible about getting bored and dropping games left and right. when i played though it was pretty cool! i had trouble fighting the first monster, the gameplay kind of reminded me of zelda in parts.

Shadow of the Colossus is between my top 5 Ps2 games. It's such an amazing experience to play it!
In my whole gaming history there are very few bosses fights that i've played repeatedly as many times as i've killed the fifth colossus of this game. I have the PS3 version too and until this days there are times that i go back there to kill my favorites.
I recommend it.

You can actually play them both... buy Isolation if you want, as Xboxes can't be emulated yet, and play the former on a PC if you have one powerful enough.

Eventually I found a good deal and bought both games. I am enjoying what I have seen of them so far, even though they are both a bit different than I expected. Alien: Isolation seems to be a little inspired by Metro 2033; what with the scavenging in the dark and getting shot at by predatory humans.

Nice avatar, Aliens is one of my all time favorite movies, probably THE movie. I haven't played Isolation but really enjoyed the Metro games so that sounds good.
