What else to try in The Sims 3?

I've been playing The Sims 3 since it came out, and I have all the add ons I've collected over the years. I've been doing some interesting genetic breeding with people and pets, but I've gotten a bit bored of it even though genetics is my special interest. Do any of you like The Sims 3 and have any other suggestions about different strategies and goals to try?

PS. The Sims 4 is terrible and I wish I hadn't bought it.

most of the time...when i play Sims 3...i just build houses, to see a visual implementation of an idea for a house design that I have in my head. i wish i could do that in real life.....

Kill them in the most twisted ways

Do you have any or all of the expansion packs so that you could play the game using a vampire, alien, werewolf, fairy, witch/wizard, genie, imaginary friend, simbot, plantsim or ghost? I remember reading that someone had a homeless Sim.

Are you interested in creating worlds, houses, pets, tattoos, plumbots, or patterns or commercial lots? There's also the option of creating stories, or movies.

Sometimes I spend quite a bit of time just redecorating a house. I have read that some players remove all the houses in a world then replace them.

Lol I played Sims 3 for about a year starting in 2013. I remember my first family as well. I created a guy and I had him get 6 girls pregnant then I met Jamie Jolina and I married her and we moved to the mansion in Sunset Valley and had 3 daughters. Shayla and twin girls Kelsey and Annie. Damn the memories...

I think I got to like generation 12 in that family before I stopped. I always liked to activate testingcheatsenabled true and go in and edit sims to make them more physically appealing. That was my favorite thing to do, to go in and edit sims and make them distinctive looking.
