While I do enjoy video games, I would hardly say I am obsessive over them like I know some Aspies are. I don't really follow gaming news, watch gaming videos on YouTube, or know about all the different games out there. From what it seems to me, Video Games are one of the more common Aspie obsessions out there, and it seems that I am in the overall minority. So I was wondering if there are other Aspies out there that don't eat, live, and breath video games?

I don't even game that much. I usually rent them for two or three days when I'm on the mood for racing or fighting games, but even in that lapse of time I get bored. Life has its own boss battles

Not me. They are definitely a special interest of mine, and have been since I was a toddler. If it wasn't for that, I'm not sure I'd even have any friends.

I pretty much gave them up for code. Lately I've worked with more game developers/artists than I've actually played. Sometimes I can grab a controller on a whim and pwn but it depends on genre - FPS, Forza/GTx, and good platformers I love but a ton of games lately have too many RPG-ish aspects for my liking.

I would never MMO, much less pay for it, but maybe I should write a bot to sell Second Life real estate.

I'm not obsessed with real, proper video games like the ones people play on X Box, Playstation, etc. I've never gotten into that whole world and don't know anything about it.

But I do obsessively play app games for tablets and phones, to the point where that's a bit of an addiction.

I don't like them at all. The sound effect placement on the soundstage is always incredibly wrong, and the way the background whips around when you turn your character makes me feel ill. Same goes for CGI movies.

I obsessively tag classical mp3s because I have a huge collection, it's an endless job, and it does not cost money to do it.

Ah, Ms. PacMan, that takes me back. I also quite enjoyed Centipede.

I know it's obsolete shareware and all, nonetheless I defy each of you to find a mobile game more addictive than Bike or Die for Palm OS. I really hope someone's cloned this for the Galaxy Notes.

I was late to start playing video games, but I'm fairly obsessed with them now. "Obsessive" seems relative though.

Periodically I get disgusted with video games, "waste of time" etc, and don't pick one up for days or weeks. But the obsession inevitably returns.

Add me to the "totally obsessed" list.

If you have a fast color Palm, buy it! I have witnessed a lowly single blue Zire captivate my entire HS robotics team.

its one of my interests and due to being stuck inside all the time, and not able to afford my other hobbies. I play video games. I do watch videos but I also watch gun vidieos, shaving videos, political videos, funny videos. I think obsessed would be if all I focussed on was video games all the time. I usualy buy about 2 a year. I have certain games I like and stick to those. its something to pass the time that's fun and I can do a lot. can only shave so often and can't shoot guns in house :P
