Any other players around?
This is the first MMORPG I've gotten into, even skipping over WoW and other big titles over the years. I've been playing for a couple months with a small group of people and love the music, the visuals, and the community--which is way better than the one I had on League of Legends.
Also, I'm away from my PC for vacation, so please don't spoil the recent event for me. I'll get to it when I get home.

I played 1.0 for a little and didn't like it. Tried 2.0 on a whim when it came out and have been playing ever since. I really enjoy the raiding and primal fights.
I keep hearing about how this game was terrible once upon a time, but I'm too new to comment.

I play with a small FC (the remnants of a once large guild in other games...) and we started Coil recently. Titan Hard was excellent fun, but T1 was pretty underwhelming.
Have you done Alexander? How does it compare to Coil today?

A1S is about as difficult as early coil turns were when they were released. A2S is a little easier than A1S. My static has been working on A3S for a month now and it's by far the hardest fight I've tried in the game. A4S is supposedly even harder. I can't say I care for any of the fights that much, but the difficulty is nice. Although, I think the gap in difficulty between A2S and A3S is too much, but maybe they'll make the progression a little steadier next raid.
What server are you on? I play a monk on behemoth.

I think the first teams are only just beating A4S.
And I play White Mage on Zalera. There's upsides to a small server... like being able to set market board prices because there's no competition.

I should have figured you played whm given your avatar lol. I always feel a little stressed when I try to heal. Like, everyone's life is in my hands, don't mess up!
When I used to pug everything I probably wouldn't have liked being on a small server. Wouldn't bother me so much now that I do mostly everything with my static. I wish I had more of a desire to make gil. I saved up enough to get a medium house but have never done much with it

Healing can be anxiety-inducing, yeah. I think after you mess up once, the horror wears off a little--the game goes on. I was dragged into Titan HM very early on because people in my FC were trying to clear content, and one of the first things I did was get hit by landslide.
None of us have bothered to get houses at this point, and I'm not sure what we'd use them for unless we wanted to play with chocobos. Mostly people just seem to use personal or FC houses for goofing off, like filling it with showers or running around in their underwear...

I learned the fight on Dragoon and definitely died to plumes and landslides a few times. That was back when the animation locks on jumps were a bit longer

An FC house is nice. It's quick access to retainers, armoire, company chest and market board depending on location. Then all of the other perks like gardening or chocobo stables.
We finally started to see enrage in A3S last night. Our best attempt was getting the boss to 6%. Going to raid an extra night before weekly reset and hopefully get our first clear. Hope you enjoyed the event if you're back home.
