I see a ton of amiibo love around here and I don't see the appeal ( still hoping someone will explain it to me) but I love infinity, especially with the incursion of Star Wars and was curious if anyone else played and if so what their favorite figures are.

the inclusion of Star Wars and Marvel does have me curious, but I'm honestly far more interested in Amiibo ( I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan ) and Skylanders...which is why it really grinds my gears when I walk into a store and see thousands of Disney Infinity figures for every 5 Amiibo or Skylanders figures :P

Also, there is 1 thing that will make me HAVE TO get Disney Infinity....if they add the Gargoyle, Kim Possible and Darkwing Duck.

the main issue I have with Infinity, aside from the insane availability ratio, is the fact that you can only mix & match in the toy box mode. A lot of the fun to LEGO Dimensions ( which I'm also quite interested in, minus the inclusion of Scooby-Doo ) is how everything crosses over ( Batman running around Aperture Science alongside the Doctor and Homer Simpson for example ) and Skylanders kind of cross too ( all my Spyro's Adventure toys work on the later games, and so on...plus, any series 2, series 3 and Lightcore figures can go backwards IE newer versions of Spyro can still be used in the older games ). I know you can use all Infinity figures in each new game but again, it's ONLY in toy box mode ( I would have liked to see Mickey Mouse or Aladdin or Spider-Man going though the Star Wars levels for example )

Actually you can mix and match in the expansion play sets like toy box takeover (syndrome teams up with Vader, venom, Davy Jones) to take over and Mickey and other Disney, marvel and Star Wars heroes team up to beat them.

I do agree though, they should just open up all play sets to all figures but it does look like they are going in that direction.

I've always wanted to play Epic Mickey, Disney Infinity, and Skylanders but alas, My Wii died 3 yrs. ago and my dad wants to get an Xbox instead of a Wii U. Right now I'm stuck with a Wii mini (it doesn't include internet connection, and I miss Rekking people on Brawl wifi battles....).
