2016 seems like a long ways away, oddly enough. But since good things come to those who wait, I think I can be patient enough until Fire Emblem Fates comes out in North America [i hope!] Anyway, the new features seem really interesting, especially the My Castle part and the fact that the protagonist is actually half dragon! My favourite characters so far are: Kamui, Xander, Ryoma, Jacob, Flora, Nyx, Velour, Nishiki, Silas, and Orochi. 8)

yep looks awesome. Its really cool that you can pick which side you pledge allegiance to.
I will probably play it multiple times but I have never been very good playing with perma death on because I hate losing my squad.

I just want to know if we are getting it as one version or two separate versions.
Tell ME NOW!

1) I'm the same when it comes to loosing my units. I played Awakening on Hard Mode and through sheer bad luck lost half of my army before Ch. 13. Oh, and one time when I was playing Pokemon I accidentally pressed power when one of my Pokemon fainted! Oops.
2) It would probably be more practical to combine both games as one, but the drive to get more money might win out instead and then we'd have to buy them separately...
[Both of your usernames are cool, by the way!]

I like the designs of the Nohr side, and the ambiguity of what is right, so I am looking forward to it. Probably should finish Awakening beforehand though.

They've already confirmed there will be 2 versions: the Birthright version will follow the Hoshido path and allow a female avatar to marry a female character and the Conquest version will follow the Nohr path and allow a male avatar to marry a male character. However, you won't have to buy 2 full copies of the game to experience everything as the opposite path will also be available as DLC along with a 3rd neutral path ( meaning you can literally buy 1 version and get the alternate choice as DLC instead of a separate game ). Without the DLC your choice is made for you, but if you get the DLC for the neutral & alternate path you get to actually MAKE the choice of who to side with.

And yes, this is for the NA release. They've also confirmed that the Fire Emblem characters in the Smash Bros Amiibo line will unlock those same characters in Fates ( though AFAIK it's only for the My Castle mode ). Though, I don't know if that will include the upcoming Roy Amiibo.....

That all seems...overly complicated. Oh well. It's neat that there will be a restaurant in the My Castle part. I love cooking in real life and in video games and I like collecting food ingredients in Rune Factory 4. Also, will the DLC versions of Birthright and Conquest be the full games or just little demo-like versions? :?

Here's how the DLC works: say you buy the Birthright version....well the DLC version of Conquest ( not the digital version, the add-on version...just to clarify ) would just be the content you wouldn't get in Birthright, IE once you hit the part in the story where you're meant to choose a path you can actually CHOOSE your path. With just one copy of the game the choice is already made, but once you get the DLC versions you get to choose the opposite path if you want, or a neutral path. So yes and no I guess is the answer...I mean if by "full game" you meant literally the game you'd buy on the shelf, then no ( since it would be the same for the first few chapters.... ), but at the same time technically yes, since you get everything you'd see after the choice of who to join is made. Does that make sense? Did I explain it okay?

Yeah, that makes sense in a nonsensical way. I think I've got it figured out. Thanks!
So who are your favourite characters so far?

If you're asking who my favorite characters in Fates are, I have no idea as I'm trying to avoid spoilers ( and I really need to go back & finish Awakening...I BARELY finished the chapter where Lucina is unmasked and that was a long time ago :P ). I will say that I can't wait to see how the new classes like ninja, samurai & maid will play......definitely pre-ordering Birthright once a release date is announced ( gonna play a lesbian character )

My favourites from Awakening are: Robin, Morgan, Chrom, Lucina, Donnel, Lissa, Owain, Sumia, Cynthia, Cordelia, Miriel, Laurent, Nowi, Nah, Virion, Panne, Yarne, Lon’qu, Cherche, Gerome, Say’ri, Libra, Olivia, Inigo, and Tiki.
Yeah, playing as an epic karate maid sounds fun, and everything's better with ninjas and samurai, right? Oh, and a word of warning: the gay options for Fates are...um...not exactly what you might expect...and not necessarily in a good way, which is rather disappointing. You know how Tharja [the stalker Dark Mage] is in Awakening? The lesbian in Fates is a lot like her, unfortunately. :(

I don't really know much about Tharja tbh, aside from her trophy stupidly being removed from Smash 3DS :P If I had to pick a couple favorites from the early game I'd say Robin ( mine is female and named Hitomi...and I married Chrom without knowing it would happen lol ), Lucina, Chrom and Sumia. Over the other Fire Emblem games, some favorites include Marth, Caeda, Florina, Lyn, Lethe, Ike, Mist, Titania, Micaiah, Elincia, Eirika, Lillina, Mia, Lucia, the Black Knight, Roy, Nephenee and Ninian.

...we need a Pegasus Knight in Smash, or maybe a Laguz

Oh, yeah, I forgot about Caeda and Lyn! Yeah! Pegasus Knights for Smash! That would be great! Nishiki or Flannel would be great too.
Here's Tharja:Image
She's...um...not my favourite.
Here's Syalla [the female gay option]:

Although, according to what I've read, Syalla might become less stalker-ish the more supports you have with her, but I'm not entirely sure.
