Does anyone here play League of Legends?

I can understand it being a stressful game or rumoured stressful game for a lot of people, especially given how rude the community can be when it comes to people who play in Ranked, banned Summoners (Players) creating 'Smurf' accounts to play while waiting for 20 day bans to lift and the constant fear everyone has of losing the game or disappointing their teammates.

But in all honesty, the game can be really fun. Sure, you have a steep learning curve. Yes, the way the champions work can be confusing. However, it IS gratifying to look back at yourself after 10 to 15 summoner levels into the game and noticing how you have improved.
Things like knowing to take Blade of the Ruined King on Vayne as a first and must-buy item on a champion played in the bottom lane.
It gets better when you share your knowledge to newer players and friends, sharing strategies in teams of 5 over third-party voice chat while the game loads, getting that double kill because your support landed the perfect Q stun as Lux when you jumped into the first mid-game teamfight, knowing how every Smite buff works on every Jungle mob in the game, the feeling of being the person to steal the kill on Baron Nashor that your enemy team worked so hard for, only to wipe them out and secure a game-changing ace and lastly, sneaking past the enemy team while they push your middle lane to backdoor through another lane and destroy their exposed nexus to win the game.

I got too excited xD

Either way, I play on EU West and I have and never plan to play a Ranked game. I have over 15 friends on Skype who play League of Legends and most of them are really nice and friendly people I have met playing other online games. If you would like to play a game with me, feel free to add me by my summoner name.

It's the same as my name here (NotShinji).

I play it, but not very often. I tend to be easily intimidated by some competitive games, particularly those that require alot of communication or such... so while I have plenty of interest in this game, I still havent played it all that much. I find it difficult to get over this issue. Particularly with team-based games.

I'd always avoid Ranked like the plague though, one way or another. In any game, ranked modes are usually awful. Though, games that dont allow communication can be quite different about that.

Yes in fact I do play...not all that competitively at all, I think I have tried a couple of ranked matches but never have gotten to serious into that. I think I am significantly better than I was when I started, but I certainly still have a lot to learn probably should practice some of the champions I have in bots since I have a bunch but am only all that decent with a couple. I certainly do find it to be a pretty fun game though...I am probably best at playing Vlad in top lane, so far, tried him in the mid lane to try and switch it up some and that didn't go too well.

No. I dislike the aesthetic. I do play other games in the genre, though.

Yeah, I play quite a lot, usually a game or two most days. I need to take regular breaks if I want to avoid sensory overload and I tend to lose awareness when I focus on a play or objective. I'm a support player, my main strengths are vision control and using that vision to flank in team fights.

Bumping this rather than making a new one, and couldn't find the one I thought I posted.

Anyways, I finally have been able to play again after a rather long wait to replace my old laptop with a new working one. This computer is a lot better to play it on though which I admit largely factored into why I got it. Anyways I think I'd have to say I am getting to be decent at playing Soraka support and certainly getting better with other champions.

I might consider doing some ranked matches rather soon, but still not sure I am that good. Anyways before I go on anymore about this awesome game I will see if anyone else seems interested in this thread.

I used to play it sometimes, but the wait times killed the fun for me. It'd take forever to get into a game, and then there would usually be at least 2-3 players that would take 15-20min to load into the game so that we could start playing. At that point, I'm already too tired from waiting to even play haha.

Damn that's a long time, it only takes 1to 5 minutes when I've played. If it took that long I probably wouldn't bother either.

I used to love playing the game, and mostly stuck to bot matches, and usually stuck to either 3v3 or the 5v5 on the bridge when playing PvP. But between people leaving because they didn't get the role they wanted, the wait times, and the community as a whole I just stopped playing. Didn't help that I often got blamed when the carry screwed up or I got myself killed because some idiot jungler decided it was better for them to help the tank up top whose doing well at keeping his/her lane compared to the support whose losing hers because the carry got disconnected, had to leave, or just plain sucks. Oh, and the addition of Kalista did not help either, since I often did not get any hints from the person playing her about when I was about to get flung. Which would sometimes happen when we were trying to retreat. Not my favorite carry to support for.

In case you can't tell, I mained support, alternating between Soraka and Karma. At least I didn't die as much as the latter. I was also learning to play Braum and a support Orianna when I quit.

I play league now and then. Though lately I only do ARAM, unless playing with friends.
