Did anybody ever play any of the Burnout racing video games?

I played the fourth one: Burnout Revenge.

I have Takedown and Revenge. I played Burnout 2, but I didn't like it as much.

I remember having a lot of fun playing burnout with my brother.
I cant remember which game it was but we would always play the mode where you try to rack up as much damage as you can from a single high speed crash.

That was either Takedown or Revenge. The difference being that Revenge has a larger areas filled with things to destroy.

Point of Impact, Takedown, Revenge and Dominator all rule. I feel ashamed to say I've never played the original, but isn't there a newer one on Steam?

Burnout 3 and Dominator are the ones I've played the most. They're pretty solid racing games, and I wish they made more games like them nowadays.

Ever since I played Streets of SimCity (go ahead and laugh... xD) as a wee lad, I've been pretty big on car combat games. Wipeout, Extreme-G, Burnout, Twisted Metal, Carmageddon... all fun franchises. Unfortunately, I kind of missed out on the genre's heyday in the late 90s.

Mr_Bigmouth,

Hey I can't laugh, I used to play streets of SimCity all the time when I was a kid.

Anyway, I have Burnout Paradise and I have Burnout revenge on an emulator. My favorite part of revenge were the parts where you had to drive into an intersection and cause as much damage as possible. Unfortunately they took that mode out of Paradise, It's still a pretty good game though.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box. It came out on Feb 3, 2009. 6979 user reviews; 86% postive. It's the only Burnout game on Steam.

I've played all of them; 1, 2, Takedown, Revenge, Dominator, Paradise, even the rather abysmal Burnout Crash on XBLA. All but one; the apparently rather elusive Burnout Legends.
