GET IN HERE IF YOU PLAYED BANJO KAZOOIE!! !!
Not obsessed but they are cool. Unfortunately I didn't get to play them much on N64 but finished each on the 360 many years later. Glad to have them on Rare Replay now too.
The first game was alright, pretty standard for a platformer of the time. Do definitely like it more than Mario 64 at least, and can see why anyone might prefer it over DK64.
The second I feel is probably Rare's best overall game, even if some parts are tedious or a bit too formulaic. Certainly the biggest and most organized and polished.
Like many others I found myself disappointed in N&B, though I won't say it's outright terrible. They should have just gone with a new IP for the idea but then I guess they thought it wouldn't sell without the brand. The races are probably the worst part for me, next being the really bland level design, not to mention mission based structure clashing the most with the more organic flow of the previous titles. Still I found it fun enough with the emphasis on creativity and there not being one solution to every obstacle, which gives some replayability. That and the community with all the different creations is kind of neat. Still, worst of the three if it's strictly platformers you want.

Does anybody solve the mistery of "Stop and Swap"?
If you don't know what it is, I'll talk about: Some probably saw the Ice Key in that ice world behind a undestructable translucid wall. Some also could notice that some doors in the game don't open, like that one in the desert world. If you get all the 100 jigsaws, Mumbo in the credits will talk about the next game and show some misterious videos including one showing Banjo entering the Ice Key room. There are secret codes thay we can use to get the key and other itens, and they appear in a new menu, called "Stop and Swap". Does anybody know what's the purpose of the key and the other itens?

"Stop & Swop" was originally going to be a connection between the first and second games. You needed both of them to get all of the eggs and the key. The codes to open the way to each item were likely going to be revealed to the player in the second game, with hints that the player needs to put the codes into the first game and get the items. The items have zero effect in the first game, but some sort of swapping function would allow you to essentially take those items into your save file in the second game (where they didnt exist normally), and doing specific things with them would unlock stuff. The Ice Key for example opens the Ice Vault where you find this "Mega Glowbo". If you take that and bring it to Humba Wumba, you get the Dragon transformation for Kazooie (can shoot infinite fireballs). The eggs unlock a new attack move, homing eggs, and a multiplayer character.
But the items cant be transferred in the N64 versions because the swapping thing was never added. However, all of this was added back in with the XBLA versions of the game (and has added functionality with Nuts & Bolts). In the N64 version of Banjo-Tooie though, you can find these "BK Gamepaks" (original BK cartridge) items in secret places; grab them and each turns into the ice key or one of the eggs. They allow you to get the items in the second game despite that the swapping function was not added.
In the XBLA version, those Gamepak things give you silver, bronze, & gold eggs, which do.... nothing. You have to actually do the swap thing to get the key and the normal eggs into the second game as they do not appear there otherwise. Which means that a player that only owns Tooie on XBLA cannot access every bit of content unless they also get the first game.
