Is "Summer in Mara" worth it?

I've heard that it's relatively buggy and sort of lacking in content + repetitive. I'm interested in it since it seems like a cross between Wind Waker and Harvest Moon, and the demo wasn't that bad (although the island you start on seems pretty empty...).

Can anyone that has played it give their opinion on it, especially the Switch version? Has the game been updated much since it came out?
