Mario Kart Wii is currently my most anticipated game, as you can tell from the avatar. So I thought I'd create a thread asking what tracks you would like to see in Mario Kart Wii. They can be tracks from previous games, or new track ideas.
Before we go any further though, here's an anaylsis of all the new tracks so far.
Mushroom Cup:
Luigi Circuit:
The easiest track in the game. A cross between the Luigi Circuits in 64 and Double Dash, with a Luigi hat on the grandstand and speed strips on the final corner.
Moo Moo Meadows:
A track that bears resemblance to Moo Moo Farm from Mario Kart 64. This time though, it's a wide open field track. Just be careful not to run into the cows.
Mushroom Gorge:
The first track that you can fall off. This track goes to the edge of some chasms. Additionally, you have to get the right angle as you bounce down the mushrooms so you don't fall off.
Toad Factory:
Toad's first track since Toad Turnpike. Don't know much about this course except that there are Pistons that need to be avoided. I'm guessing there are conveyor belts as well.
Flower Cup:
Mario Circuit:
The first course that was shown. I shouldn't need to explain this one, other than it's the one with all the houses by the side of the road.
Coconut Mall:
Now this track looks original. It's set in a shopping mall, complete with a car park that has Miis driving in it. Use the right esculator for speed boosts and use the shops as shortcuts.
DK Summit:
I'm really looking forward to this track. It's the first one where you can do stunts, thanks to the half-pipes. It's Mario Kart SSX! But the best part looks like the cable cars, you ride up them at the start of the track. Interestingly, this track isn't in the Star Cup, which is a break from tradition of having a snow track in the Star Cup
Wario Gold Mines:
This is the one with all the railway tracks and sheer drops. You'll have seen this track before so I don't need to describe it.
All images are taken from the Official Nintendo Magazine Website.
That's the new courses so far. Old courses so far are Mario Circuit 1, Mario Raceway, Sherbet Land, Shy Guy Beach, Peach Beach, Waluigi Stadium, Yoshi Falls and Delfino Square. Not much difference in these tracks except you can now do stunts on Waluigi Stadium and Delfino Square.
Now for speculating. Two courses that haven't been shown yet are inevitable, Bowser Castle and Rainbow Road. That leaves 6 unknown tracks.
So what tracks do you want to see in Mario Kart Wii.
I hope they include a track based on Super Mario Galaxy for a new track. They also better have Tick-Tock clock in there.
