I'm thinking of getting it. From what I hear it was pretty good. Can anyone share their thoughts?

I've played it on PS3 and I surely reccomend it, nice story, beautiful places to visit, probably the main issue is that missions are a bit repetitive, definitely a game to play.

Well, it has some of the best graphics I've ever seen in a video game, the levels are beautiful, and the combat system is unique. It's also quite fun to be able to climb on almost anything and do acrobats. It does get old after awhile in my opinion, and some points in the game are a bit frustrating, but it's definitely a good game. I would recommend renting it to see if you like it first.

Some of the cut-scenes are over long, and I fail to see the point of the "get in bed" levels, though to be fair, I haven't finished it yet, so maybe that will become clear later.

Otherwise, stunning visuals. Slightly finicky control system, but free-running across Acre is about as fun as fun gets without a murder or two.

Perhaps it would have been better if the missions were more varied (like the Assassin missions in Oblivion.)

Great game, for once you want to get advetures, instead of useing the sword to counter which is fairly easy to do but little damage, you can use the secret blade that is quite hard to counter with but instant kill and looks awesome. Here is the cool opening video that leads to it, but looks even better when watched through the game on the consoel.

It was one of my favorite games last year. I loved the story and the game mechanics. It does get repetitive but it was still an amazing experience. I can't wait for the sequel.

i don't know if you've bought it yet or not but I've heard bad things about it from a noobtoob review basically i think they said the combat is basic repetitive hack and slash with enemies that never get harder as you progress even bosses never have special skills or increase in difficulty and the game missions are repetitive with 5 different types mediocre script its very easy but it looks good the thing about noobtoob that makes them special from all the game review sites is that there a non gaming industry sponsored reviewers unlike all the others who are taking thousands of dollars for ads and handing out tens and nines or at least a six youtube.c om/watch?v=_PRIXZzZg3Y

Well once you get fairly good at countering with the long sword, it can appear a bit boreing to just counter whenever someone attacks. But you can increase the speed and difficulty as the sword will counter basicaly I think any angle, the knife requires pointing the stick in the general direction and general timeing, and the secret blade requires perfect direction and timeing. Plus trying out many of the combos can be a bit interesting, one of the most intersting ones is a combo that breaks the leg putting it in the wrong direction. Some of the assisinations can be a bit hard, or done right, like trying to move through a crowed to an execution before the people are executed and without getting any attention, or trying to assasinate a man on a boat filled with guards without getting their attention.

I picked it up when it came out and did not like it for one big reason. There is a major twist in the story very early on that the game makers kept hidden until it came out. Lets just say I thought the company was very misleading in how they marketed the game and i thought I was getting one type of game when I got something I did not expect.

If you do, make sure it's not the PC version. Its system requirements are more intense than those of Crysis. Seriously.

My favorite part about the game is for each of the 9 bosses you have to kill, there are many ways to get to them. Like the first one, you can run into the building and kill the guards, reaching the target by force; you can wait for some monks to pass and sneak in with them; or you can jump through the broken window, and balance on the rafters above every one and drop down to ambush him. And after you got him, there also many ways to escape. The one thing I dont like about this game is that after its beaten, it doesnt have mutch replay value.

It's a good game, though after the first three bosses, it gets harder.

Awesome game.
the problem [and a very big one] am have with it,is that it does not have a subtitles option, this is something am relie on due to severe processing, sensory and hyperacusis difficulties.
it's a very big problem because assassins creed relies a lot on knowing what is being said, and it just about neglects the subtitle reliant gaming community [many of whom are autists or deaf].
highly recommended buying-if dont need subs, borrow it if are sub reliant if just want to see what its like.,
am borrowed it off sisters boyfriend.

The second one is due out either this year or the next, and hoping this time its all inclusive.

the one thing I was ticked about is that the opening clip has him using a crossbow, and yet they don't give him a crossbow in the game. ::Sigh:: hopefully the Sequel might have it.
