What's the worst weapon for fighting flood on Halo

One strength of the plasma pistol is that its energy can deplete an enemy's shields.

The flood do not have shields

This makes the plasma pistol very ineffective. It would singe their skin.

Also if used incorrectly plasma grenades would also not work well against the flood.
Plasma grenades stick to the enemy,
in this scenario the enemy (being the flood) is always coming towards you,
hence your active plasma grenades pending explosion would always be coming towards you.
that is a little thing we call...
NOT GOOD.


That's basically the equivalent of sticking a grenade to a boomerang.. :lol:
Mind you it's a good tactic if you know you'll probably die, if you don't it'll be quite a big boost...

I have just beaten in the last couple days the game on Legendary by myself, I will tell you that it was quite difficult fighting the Flood, most anoying were the ranged forms. I found myself scrambling to find certain weapons, I used mostly sword, assault rifle, brute shot, any grenades I could use, Flame throwers a bit but the problem was the combats came in big groups, a rocket launcher/fuel rod (normal weapons not very accesable and at a bit was just grabbing spikers and maulers to try and take out as much as I could. Even the sticky grenades are good for takeing care of the the carryers without spreading infections, and were often a technique with try my luck with takeing care of the ranged forms quickly. Fire might kill pure forms quickly but combats are more resiliant, Hammer was a bit of use but not always an instant kill as the Tanks could stand a hit and then kill you in return. I would say some the best things were the invisiblity to get out of jams, or even get past an imposible army of ranged, combats, tanks and infection and the number one the motion sensore was invaluable alowing you to know where they are going to appear and get an idea of numbers. Most other weapons were fairly useless against the Flood on Legendary.

Wow! You must be pretty good, I have a friend who's about the same age as me(10), And he's completed it on Ledgendary, so, may I ask... Is it really that hard?

The worst for the flood would probably be a plasma pistol, then again that's the worst for any enemy.

But the best on the other hand for the flood is the sentinal. Don't believe me? There's a reason the forerunners used them, try it. :P

Worst is rocket launcher, IMO.

Too little ammo, too slow reload, terrible close range.

And since the Flood like close-range...>.>
