I've played the demo of it that was released in Japan.
It's all right so far. Graphics are really up there for it(so it won't be coming to the Wii).
I loved RE4 and I'm looking forward to it. Haven't yet decided whether i like having the partner thing or not. With shooters I like to sneak and snipe and keeping tabs on a partner is rather annoying(since you can't let them get killed). As much I got so used to RE4's gameplay, there are a few things that can throw you with RE5.
One, well the buttons are configured a little differently from what I used to. There's a "Look at your partner" button which is a trigger button which I end up hitting accidentally a lot during heated fights resulting in free hits from zombies. (I'm hoping I can change that button in the final game).
Second, for whatever reason, you can't strafe/side-step/move slowly while aiming. You aim, you're locked in place. Again, I hope that isn't final cause it rather annoying since you could move slowly to sneak, avoid minor attacks while aiming in RE4.
Other than that and an unkillable(I think) axe man, the demo was good and I look forward to playing it.
