Howdy!
I've created a multi-user online shared space, it's chatrooms + casual gaming. I'm looking for some people that would be interested in trying it out and offering suggestions, helping me to make it more appealing to different groups of people. (ESPECIALLY those in this forum) it's a non-profit thing - I hope to help others augment themselves, and enjoy doing so. Some of the games would encourage the players to work together to acomplish tasks/goals, and I think it might be a cool thing...

Interested? Reply here in this thread! :)

Questions:

    1. Are you offering any monetary compensation for those who participate?

    2. Are you offering any unique content on your website?

    3. Will those who log into your site have to submit any personal information?

    4. Isn't this just a blatant attempt to advertise your new website without first acquiring Alex's permission?
Note that none of your answers to these questions is a "show stopper," but that we will all be better informed as to your real goals and intentions.

1. I sometimes give away things (I've given away a few mp3 players and a few USED laptops in the past) I don't have much money to offer. But thaose that have betatested in the past enjoyed the experience, because they got a chance to really contribute to the project.

2. It's pretty unique - In the last version, areas were built for fans of the show BattleStar Galactica, Pace university (I was an online student there) and in the new one, we have few areas for people interested in the Pontiac Fiero, and keeping insects as pets. The neat thing is that if you have an interest, you can help create an area inside of Augworld, you help to define the place.

3. No. No $, no info. Eventually, I'll probably make it that you need a password (so people won't go in and pretend to be you) but no $, real name, addresses, etc.

4. no it's not. I have a cousin that is Autistic, and found that I am able to interact with her better if I use a computer. I read an article in WIRED about autistics online, and became intrigued.

I don't expect you to all just trust me outright. I will build up my reputation here as time goes on. I have no wish to go against the rules here, or to try to get people to leave here. I just want people to enjoy my creations. (I do NOT want to step on anyone's virtual toes!! !)

I work in the IT field, I enjoy computers and technology, and even more so, I enjoy working with technology to help improve people's lives.
Thanks for asking those questions, though, it's important that you understand where I'm coming from.

I'll create a new area for us to test out, and when I'm done, I'll post a link explaining how to try it out.
