Is there something unexplainable, freaky, supernatural happening in your neck of the woods? Ever see a UFO?

My former home was supposedly haunted by something. I never saw anything but my parents did.

I've seen something like an strange mist before in my old school. I have heard footsteps and had a pew door open on it's own in the city church at night when I was there once.
Although I'm skeptical of those being paranormal.

I've never seen anything and I don't know anyone who has.

Paranormal stuff is very fascinating, but it usually has some sort of rational explanation.

If there was, I wouldn't assume that it couldn't be explained or that it was "supernatural". It might not be much more scary than thinking I saw a monster behind a sheet from laundry I hung up to dry, which was actually a cat walking across the fence behind the sheet. Or something stupid like that.

I believe in PK, but consider it as supernatural as electricity.

Science is always evolving. What is science now was alchemy and wizardry in the past. I believe in many possibilities in the universe and think it would be pure egotism to think that science as we know it covers everything.
Summary:
I believe ghosts, telekinesis, telepathy, ESP, etc is possible, and when understood will be considered a rational scientific phenomenon.

Even though I joke about supernatural stories, I will admit that I did experience something strange a few months ago.

It happened while I was reading a Fritjof Capra book. I was sitting in my armchair when I eventually became aware of what looked like a bright ball of light hovering a few inches above the floorboards in front of me. It was about the size of a golf ball and disappeared after 4-5 seconds.

I didn't move until it was gone, I think I was too surprised to really do much. I ended up checking the floorboards and looking around the house, finding nothing.

I'd guess it was nothing more than a hallucination, though it was weird - I've never seen anything quite like that before. It seemed too bright for a human mind to conjure, for one thing.

This doesn't mean much to me (I still suspect it was a hallucination) but having experienced this, I can at least understand why some might have unusual beliefs. I do respect others' views, even if they differ from my own.
