The Lord Jesus Christ will judge everyone at Armageddon. Since the thread was about Jesus to begin with, how could I have introduced religion into it?
In any case, I do not share the poet's sense of humour. Nor will I defend it. I find it rather offensive.
All human judgements will be judged when the time comes, including mine. I expect as much, to be judged alongside my fellow human beings with no preference shown. I expect to held accountable for my sins and my virtues.
So these are your true colours.
I suspected from the avatar, but I couldn't be sure.
So... you're one of those biblical delusionists? How fascinating...
And which of the disciples' phantastical visions of Jesus do you ascribe to? You DO know they're different, don't you?
The overall concensus of the bible seems to be however that Jesus wanted unity amongst the Jews.... and nothing more. So unless you're Jewish by descent... the incidentally long-dead J-man won't want anything to do with you anyway.
You're living your entire life upon layer over layer of self-delusion and denial... the amusement of which stems only so far. And while you might want to do such ridiculous things with your own time, my opposition lies in the pathogenic nature of religion... the public declarations of the impossibles, the implausibles and the ludicrous.
I bet you even
like the sheep label, don't you? You like the idea of being no more than a b***h to some two-faced, bimillenial-deceased middle-eastern, don't you?
Judgement?
Puh-lease... We're the only ones who will be judging you.
You will rot away and be forgotten like everyone else... and nothing you ever did in life will amount to anything. It is that you cannot come to terms with, and that is your weakness.
Your thoughts know it somewhere... but your opinions and emotions get in the way. Reason indicates clearly the absurdity of belief in the nonsensical... but when you openly and arbitrarily select to believe in the unbelievable, then you have lost sight of reason.
As Zhuangzi wrote, and I find it somewhat appropriate:
"If a man follows the mind given him and makes it his teacher, then who can be without a teacher? Why must you comprehend the process of change and form your mind on that basis before you can have a teacher? Even an idiot has his teacher. But to fail to abide by this mind and still insist upon your rights and wrongs - this is like saying that you set off for Yue today and got there yesterday. This is to claim that what doesn't exist exists. If you claim that what doesn't exist exists, then even the holy sage Yu couldn't understand you, much less a person like me!"
