This seems to be more a self-hate and/or hate-other issue, and more related to human ignorance as a whole than anything pertaining to racism. I'm "white" but have lived my entire life under a dome of oppression. Poverty generally reeks of the same or similar problems.

I lived in the Watts District of L.A. in 1968, when I was 8 years old, about two years after their violent race riots and fires were occuring at that time. I ran for my life everyday to and from school, or that was how it felt being chased every day by much bigger kids wielding boards and bat and throwing rocks. The adults would stand in their doorways with arms folded across their chests with bitter frowns as I sprinted to and from every day. I was in the wrong place. My skin was white and I was the minority there and I paid that price then. Granted this only lasted for about 18 months but poverty has the same or similar effect. I identify well with minorities, maybe because of these experiences. I pay a price no matter what color my skin is. It really doesn't matter. When are we going to get over it and move on and just become people who care for one another?

Probably never

Among "Ignorantites", you're probably right!

Hell yes they are; They've done a lot of wrong things, but hey, so would anyone else if they's managed to fight to the top.
But what us whites deserve is tempered by a few important things.

By discriminating against whites, we're just changing the guard; Another ethnicity will become the top dog of racism, and oppress all the rest.
Only by promoting equality, rather than superiority, will we be able to achieve balance.

What the hell is an 'ignorantite'?

Life is just going to suck, forever. That's a realistic view.

If you break the word down, with your "realistic" point of view, it shouldn't be too difficult to understand.

It means Ignorant People, dumb-dumb!

My view is very realistic given the current state of the world and its history

Immense stupidity and brutality will cling to us like a coat of grease until we're all dead

Nothing is ever going to get better, so don't waste your time trying to do anything good

It clearly will in your case.

As human beings go, you're pathetic!

No

In everyone's case

Nothing is ever going to get better

There is going to be massive greed, violence and stupidity until we're all dead

You just need to make every manner of justification for the simple fact that you have nothing to offer as a human being.

Everything you project upon the human race is about everything that lacks within yourself, but don't have sense enough to see.

The ass-hole obviously lives in you.

Please forgive this statement, but you seem to have an amazingly perceptive grasp of the obvious. Entropy rules.

Oh, hi, sorry, I'm busy putting together a Beamer presentation on algorithmic analysis and recursion I have to give next week

I'm a very good student by almost any measure. Not only do I ace nearly every course I take, I'm also very ambitious and do an assload of independent reading all the time. I aim to have both strong comprehension of formal systems and existing methods, gaining both breadth and depth of knowledge, but also to be creative and critical, and should excel at research.

So it's entirely possible that I could try to 'contribute' to the human race if I cared about it at all

But I don't and I won't

Are you using the pop culture definition of 'entropy'?

The Earth is not a closed system (due to that yellow thing in the sky) and we have every opportunity not to suck, but we squander them pretty consistently.

If you can't apply your learning to anything more useful, constructive or meaningful, it doesn't say much for your intelligence. You fit the category of the common Narcissist and you will likely eat your own s**t one day.

Enjoy!

Or work for the defense industry and contribute to really really ruining things for everyone

Including me!

Sentient machines that kill people are pretty "useful, constructive and meaningful" from my point of view, and our government is keenly interested in developing them to their zenith.

Quote:
The DARPA Cognitive Information Processing Technology Initiative will develop the next generation of computational systems with radically new capabilities. “Cognitive systems” will demonstrate levels of autonomy and reasoning far beyond those of today’s systems. With the ability to reason, learn and adapt, and with facilities for self-awareness, these will literally be systems that know what they’re doing.

As computing systems grow in size and complexity, they become more brittle – difficult to build and maintain, prone to error and breakdown, and vulnerable to attack. The DARPA vision is to develop systems that overcome these problems by being responsible for their own operation and able to cope with unforeseen events. They will possess the ability to reason in a variety of ways, using substantial amounts of appropriately represented knowledge; they will learn from experiences and improve performance using accumulated knowledge; they will be able to explain themselves and accept naturally expressed guidance and direction; they will be aware of their own behavior; and most importantly, they will respond in a robust manner to surprises. DARPA envisions cognitive systems that possess imagination – the ability to invent interesting scenarios and plan for and predict novel futures.

Good night, human race

Enjoy!

If you had taken a moment to look at his profile and personal website, you would have found him to be quite the aspiring mathematician with a strong interest in artifical intelligence. Therefore...his future career choices will most likely fit into the useful, constructive, and meaningful. Even if he decides to teach...this would also apply.

I rather enjoy seeing youth be so brash, regardless of if I agree. Young minds with high goals, firm points of view, and a 'life sucks then you die' attitude. Makes me wish I was twenty again...
