You give way too much credit to children, Roman. Children are stupid little nose pickers. They don't have a good sense about what is good or bad or anything of that nature. They are selfish, petty, tend to crave sweets and hate healthier foods like broccoli, they whine and all sorts of things. It really does not strike me very much at all, so what? If the anti-christ did not have good skills with children then he would be a crappy anti-christ. Imagine giving an animal anti-freeze. Animals like anti-freeze, in fact, putting out some anti-freeze is a good way to get rid of stray cats and dogs. Even though the anti-freeze is poison the animal still drinks it and dies, I guess its natural sense is not that helpful. Or how about if you give a mouse some cocaine, then it will crave cocaine even at the cost of food. There is nothing even supernatural about the cocaine, just a drug with addictive properties. We have these naturally occuring events where weak little beings are enthralled and killed by these harmful things and you consider the child wanting the supernaturally enhanced, perfectly charming, and powerfully corrupting anti-christ an odd thing? Heck, a child would be even more enticed than a regular person because the anti-christ is like a stranger with candy and the child is not smart enough to know better. I would be surprised if the anti-christ were bad with children (when it comes to winning their favor and such)

This might be so if you are talking about things like discipline, good behavior, etc. But taht is waht Jesus refers to as wisdom of this world and hypocricy. Adults might appear better than children, but that is because they are white washed. There were at least few verses where Jesus openly acknowledges the way little babes are so much wiser than adults in spiritual realm.

You might be right that little children might be misleaded by stranger with candy. But at the same time, it is true that if little children NATURALLY like a person (not because of candy) it is a sure sign of good inside. This can not be said about adults. Adults look more on outside. Here is a case in point. I heard some deep christian woman mention how she instantly attracted the son of her new boy friend, and he only wanted to be on her arms. Thats because little children can feel when someone is christian.

I can see your point. Antichrist can attract children by giving them candy or wahtever. But what strikes me on this photo is that it is clear that the kid is attracted to the antichrist itself and not to the candy he is going to give. It is like he is attracted to antichrist on very phisiological level, without him needing to say a single word let alone offer any rewards. At least thats my reading of his facial expression.

If you were to look further at the link you will find that it is chick magazine specifically intended to convert ppl to christianity, so it isn't a joke.

Children are still stupid and they..... they are just plain stupid. I don't see children as having any real wisdom whatsoever. If they were so freakin' wise then how come they aren't the philosophers or anything? Children are just plain stupid and our own views of children being innocent is really a false interpretation. Children are just ignorant and stupid, if they could comprehend as much about the world as we could then they would be just as corrupt if not more. Stupid little brats.... Adults are not even whitewashed, adults are corrupt, greedy, lustful, vengeful, proud, arrogant, selfish, and all sorts of stuff. When it comes to morality adults may be worse than children but only because the morality and ability of children is too simplistic to allow for real evil, only stupidity. Not sharing is not considered a high form of evil.

Also, the Anti-Christ would probably be just charming of his own nature. Like I said, he is supernatural. I mean, one does not bring about all of this stuff without having mega-awesome powers. There is probably something about the Anti-Christ that makes him more appealing than even the sweetest candy or the hottest body or anything of that nature.

Oh sigh. I can't help but feel that one of the biggest problems with Christianity is the idea that in order to be a true Christian you have to be a martyr. I for one just don't see why it has to be in the job description! Can't you be a good Christian WITHOUT having to depict everyone else as the devil incarnate?

Unfortunately I can also vouch for this sort of thing being true. It's not the first Chick tract that I've seen, and they all have the same style of pictures and the same ending with solemn angels standing by a lake of fire... *sigh*

Why do people keep thinking that iditic stuff like Chick tracts accurately represent the views of all or the vast majority of Christians?

The story revolves around two girls who haven't "found Jesus," then some stereotypical hunky jock tells them about Jesus. The moral of the story is that women need men to keep them in line with their superior judgement.

To me the child looks brain dead cluelesss the way all small children if they are not laughing or crying look like they are brain dead clueless.

However due to the fact that the tract appears on the SubSite, it's appearance is a joke.
On the Chick Tract site, however, it's appearance is not a joke, and is intended to scare people into following a very narrow minded version of Christianity.
