I've never once disagreed with you that our justice system is a mess. It IS a f*****g mess, and there is huge disparity between sentencing and crime. But that isn't going to be solved by reducing prisoners rights. A prisoner with no rights is about on a par with Fritzl's daughters or a political prisoner in a dictatorship.
What do you not understand about an example of a regime that reduced the rights of prisoners to virtually zero, and how singularly unpleasant it was?
Would it surprise you that I actually agree with some Tory policies? That I thought some Labour policies were good too? What I have an issue with is the fact that both sides of that divide also insist on making ridiculous policy decisions that bollocks up the rest of their policies.
