I agree with the title, and that is all I really have to say on the matter.

There's nothing wrong with the drones themselves per se, there's a hell of a lot wrong with the way they're being used. It's one of those unintended consequences things, the idea of a "safer" way of waging war looks great on paper, until you realize that reducing the political cost of going to war increases the chances the force will be used in lieu of other options.

What Germany did was unethical, illegal and immoral,if they had not acted in such a way we would not have went to war.It all starts with the first stone hurled. We had no choice,to not act would have been immoral. And I would have fared no better than you,Hitler did not care for the Freemasons or the mentally ill.

Drones are no different in damage/accuracy than an attack helicopter. The only difference is they are much cheaper to build, operate and deploy.

How they are used is again no different than an attack chopper.

The difference? The drone lasts longer in the air and can be sent into combat with minimal financial risk and risk to pilot's lives. Because of this, they can be used in decapitation strikes where the drone is expendable as long as the target is taken out.

The use of them in Pakistan and Yemen is something that amazes me that people whine about it. Pakistan is NOT an ally. Yemen is NOT an ally. They actively connive and cooperate with the islamic terrorist organizations.

You know me too well at this point.

It makes me think of Dr. Gatling and his idea that he could reduce the number of people killed in wars by making them more efficient; doesn't work any better now than it did in the 19th century.

What you say is true, but drones are a nifty way of beating the sh*t out of one's enemies. They are a method of getting cheap kills.

I would say watch out for North Korea instead. If they start using drones they will actually carry out their supposed empty threats against the US and then it will be all over. Who knows maybe they will have some super nuclear war head drone with its sights set on Washington. It seems this whole N. Korea thing has died down and they have proven that only threaten other countries to keep their own citizens in line. Just the typical neighborhood bully.

North Korean missiles don't have the range and carrying capacity to deliver a nuclear warhead to anywhere in the continental United States - Alaska, yes; Hawai'i, maybe - and they don't seem to have a significant drone program, either.

Why are you trying to frighten us with assumptions and rumors?

I think China will lean on North Korea hard if they decided to attack us,they make way more money off us than N.Korea.Kim Jong-Un just has to posture, like a young rooster,he is just kicking up dust,he really has no spurs yet.Thinks he's the cock of the rock.

Prostitution is unethical, illegal, and immoral in many cultures.

Drones are just tools.

I have mixed feelings on the tech but firm opposition to the mode in which they are currently used.

I live in a small and relatively poor Island nation situated a long way from any probable or possible hostile party [unless Australia turns on us in an overt and military sense]. I think it would make good sense for us to adopt the use of 'drone' tech to patrol and defend our borders as well as those Polynesian states that seek our assistance, it would be more thorough, cheaper and would enable us to disengage from a set of geo-political relationships that are in reality more likely to create a threat to my country than prevent one.

However my basic stance on 'militarism' is that any and every community has a right to defend it's borders but no-one has the right to attack another's, if everyone took this stance war would disappear. I think a high tech patrol and defend and a civil militia 'every citizen' a defender in the case of actual landings on our shores solution would suit my counties needs best.

As for current use of aggressive drone tech to breach sovereign states borders and kill people? It is a dirty immoral form of sustained low intensity warfare which ultimately undermines the protagonists credibility and security. Put simply if someone starts using drones to attack me or mine then I don an explosive vest and visit their embassy, ex-pat community or business', and I am a fairly mild mannered agnostic with no ideological prejudice beyond disliking ideologues and extremists!

OK, lets look at these statements. (corrections added in bold.)

1/ Prostitution is considered unethical, illegal, and immoral in some cultures - It can also be considered as a simple fee for service transaction. And marriage can be considered as legalised prostitution, the male gets sex, the female get status. It can be seen as a way of controlling women, which in certain cultures is very successful ( not desirable, but effective).

2/ Drones are just tools - the urban dictionary definition: A sad soul who is being taken advantage of without realizing it.
Drones are important to military as they help to overcome one of the biggest problems about going to war; your sons and daughters get killed. And parents don't like there kids coming home from a war in a box, even with (so called) military honours. They are just a further extension of killing at a distance, and it does not get rid of the psychological problems that soldiers get from killing people on command.

This reminds me of a vietnam war era saying:
Fighting for peace is like f*cking for chastity.
