Oh, yeah, I should have added, the expansion of gay rights has occurred largely under Obama's aegis, cementing his place in history with LBJ as a civil rights President.

No, he's a mendacious, mealy-mouthed mediocrity, who goes on eight-million-dollar vacation trips while posing as a friend of the common man, which is exactly who is most harmed by his policies. He knows nothing about economics, but is a vocal advocate of massive government interference in the economy, with predictable results. And I know some Navy corpsmen who laugh out loud at the suggestion that he is particularly intelligent or educated.

Worse, he clearly feels only contempt for the Constitution and the American founding principles. Clinton was an amoral sleazeball, Dubya was an oaf, but they both honored the Founders and I believe that each loved America in his way. Not Obama. He is the first anti-American President.

Can I say anything nice about him? Umm, he has pretty teeth, and enunciates well. He eventually "evolved" to the pro-rights position on gay marriage, albeit as a pragmatic matter and not because he believes in individual rights, because he doesn't. And while I cringe every time Obama bows or apologizes to yet another foreign leader, at least he hasn't dragged us into any more major shooting wars against countries which pose no threat to us. Also, sales of Atlas Shrugged are through the roof, which should be a good thing in the long run. Thanks, Mr. President!

I am sorry, with all of the full caps lines of babble and the meaningless talk about feels I could not finish reading your post. It doesnt look like yo uare saying anything of actual substance, typical of how a lot of people come off who support this.

I am not retired and do not have hundreds of thousands in the bank. I am working my way up with two perosnal companies, a partner in another, a lower position in another and have a day job. One day not far now I might be a multi millionare but for now I am living with my parents again and working a mandatory overtime job in addition to my 4 other jobs that arnt paying(yet). There is absolutely nothing what so ever in Obamacare that helps people like me who would otherwise be on the streets if they didnt have their parents to mooch of off. The only thing I know about Obamacare is that my health coverage from my new job wont kick in for a few months and now I am worried that I might end up having to pay that moronic MASSIVE tax levy for not being insured.

I spent 80hrs/week working on my own projects before I started my regular job. I spend most of it on the computer and in the basement studio I built. Why in the hell exactly do I now have to have insurance or get hammered with another tax? Why do i HAVE to buy insurance if I dont feel it is right for me right now? You are so freaken clueless its painful. Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to scrape enough money together to pay for equipment and raw materials? How hard it is to expand and compete? No, you havent the foggiest idea in hell what its actually like. And yet you can the government can decide what is right for ME when it comes to how I live my life. Well F that all the way back to where it came from. When my buis take off ill be able to build my own personal hospital if I want to complete with helipad. But for now it doesnt freaken matter. I am right smack dab in the middle of doing what it takes to go from being needy to being wealthy, I am doing EXACTLY what people in my position are supposed to be doing. I am at the impasse of not quite having enough but making it and be self sustaining. The only thing this s**t obamacre does is make it HARDER.

I voted for President Obama twice. I am generally satisfied with him. He is intelligent, articulate and honest. I may add that I voted for President Bush both times. I don't identify as either conservative or liberal. I do my own thinking and am not swayed by the opinions of others. I always remember that our leaders, including the president, are men and women just like us. They make mistakes and can be dishonest. They don't always keep their promises. I don't think that is right to make public officials superhuman.
Here are my predictions for the 2016 election. The field is open for both parties. The favorite candidate now for the Democrats is Hillary Clinton. Barring any challenges within her party, she will likely be the nominee. She well known nationally and is well connected politically. The Republicans may have trouble. The candidates are likely to be extremely conservative. These people rarely do well in the primaries. At the moment I don't see any moderate Republicans, but one could exist.
I have been frustrated with the polarization of views in goverment and the refusal to compromise. I believe this situation will continue for the foreseeable future. However, the very conservative, often Christian, officials will be in trouble once same sex marriage becomes legal nationwide. The rejection of same sex marriage will likely cause a crisis in Evangelicalland. However, I digress. I am never dogmatic concerning politics. Elections have a way of becoming unpredictable and surprising.

The Southerners didn't care much for the Civil Rights Act, did they?
