I love Family Guy. Sure, it's stupid or repetitive sometimes, but often there's a hilarious bit or one of those extended cutaways, and that makes it worthwhile for me. There are a lot of fairly highbrow and/or obscure references to art, literature, classic movies, politics, etc, which I like.

Let's just say I'm between 40 and 60.

It's been pointed out already that the PC police have tried to go after Family Guy before, but not that it appears that they've learned that giving Seth MacFarlane free publicity is counter productive to them. Kind of surprising actually, they usually don't catch on that fast, I mean entire careers have been built on trolling these people.

I will honestly admit, I probably wouldn't know the plots for Star Wars or The Shawshank Redemption if it weren't for the Family Guy parodies. The shorter format fits my attention span better.
