Are there no entitled Republicans?

yes, they feel they are entitled to worship from the 99% as well as money from the 99%.

It sounds like the one percent are on welfare. They should earn their own money.

that's right, the 1% are on corporate welfare which the American right wing thinks is golden while coming out of their mouths at the same time is nothing but calumny of social welfare recipients. if they are opposed to the latter then they by god ought to be opposed to the former as well.

Up until the Industrial Revolution, most people were farmers. You didn't work, you starved. That's the type of world American society was formed in. Today, automation has taken most jobs away. Even worse, people now live in cities, and are unable to grow their own food. When the whole thing comes crashing down, the result is something like Venezuela, where urbanites wait in blocks-long lines for tiny amounts of food.

When the economy crashes and there are not enough jobs, the people with the remaining jobs will just scream at the ones without, resenting that they have to take care of so many moochers and free-loaders with their "hard earned tax dollars". I mean, that's pretty much how your average Republican reacted to the 2008 recession. They all seemed to believe that people stuck on unemployment were there by choice and that was the cause of unemployment. I remember the Tea Party politicians talking this way.

I actually predict people will start shooting each other if things ever get really bad. I don't have any faith in "Murican" society.

If we all started shooting the rich, I'd be cool with that.

Then it's a good thing you moved to Turkey.

Anyhow I don't think this American societal collapse is going to happen. America will never be perfect but it will never turn into a post-apocalyptic battleground either. Things will probably just continue on in the usual imperfect normality.

That's probaby going to happen at some point. I don't think future president Pence's healthcare plan will be any better.

So much for Trump's talk about helping the working class who have suffered years of hardship and job loss. As I expected, although I was hoping to be wrong, he is helping fill the pockets of the wealthy.

Nah you totally knew that but I commend your optimism anyway.

True. I'm only optimistic because my family keeps telling me to be more optimistic. I figured I would try it, epic fail. haha
