"Cancer" is a bad metaphor because it implies that it spreads. The rancor on PPR doesn't seem to spread elsewhere. In fact if anything it may draw off venom from the rest of the forum.

"Toxic" is a better one of more recent years. A few times I've been called toxic, and after I give my usual witty rebuttal I sign off with something like "Yours truly, The Toxin". In fact, I've considered changing my avatar to some kind of symbol that brazenly vaunts my toxicity. I don't think that would be trolling since it's in response to personal attacks.

Hi Keet, I just popped in on a whim, I hardly ever post visit this site any more. Some things never change, you are still bitching about people on here. Here's a tip, don't visit PPR. I stopped years ago, not because it was cancerous, rather all the folk I found interesting left, plus the debates just recycle themselves and you can only repeat yourself so many times.
