That's fine for all those who follow the Christian faith; but what about the billions that don't? The muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, Pagans (including Wiccans and Druids), pantheists, and even atheists as well? They believe differently, and therefore don't believe that Jesus was their saviour and their only path to the hereafter. Christians can believe what they want, but they shouldn't try to convert everyone and say that no-believers will perish.

Not sure if that was directed at me. But... Jesus is just one of the many paths, up to you to choose the one that fits.

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me' " (John 14:6).

Was Jesus fibbin'?

Also, He said: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matt 7:13-14).

So, if He's a liar, then He can't be one of the paths to the afterlife. But if he was a moral man, and not a liar, then He is the only way to God and the afterlife.

Amazing. All I said was shift your perspective. You ask if I thought he was fibbin, which is a question and then prove I am with an "also" and a "so". Truely amazing. If that's a gift from God, keep it, I don't want it. Bull s**t logic, wish I could say at it's best, but I've seen way better. Next time, get the real part of what I said in it and not an end statement, ment for someone else and not you.

Oh God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"
Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"
God say, "No." Abe say, "What?"
God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but
The next time you see me comin' you better run"
Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done?"
God says, "Out on Highway 61."

B. Dylan, Highway 61 Revisited

My wife says there is a debate on if 2 of the 4 were by the same person.
Some think that Luke may have been. The others, the general thought is they were not.

Not in touch with my cousin, he has his PHD in this stuff. But the Wife knows her stuff on this type of thing, I have forgotten an awful lot. Been a while since I was into this study. Very interesting things in it all though.

There were many different reasons for the choices of what was left out and what was included. Some politics had entered the picture, amoung the differnt sects that had already formed. There was debate (very little debate, it boiled down to about one person) about what had stood the test of time, in other words which were actually valid and not a rumor gone popular. I think some of it was out and out censorship, not fit for the morals of the times. Some had been actually been destroyed by then. Some of the "cults" had been hunted down, killed off and their works thought to have been destroyed, The Book of Mary is one, if I'm not mistaken. Has more then a hint of Buddist thought in it. Which was about 400 years? prior then Christ, not sure on dates anymore either. It often isn't given enough credit about how much was known from different areas of the world. People very often think that it wasn't till Marco Polos time that they even had a hint of Eastern thought. This area we're speaking of was a big time melting pot, still is.

As far as if they are as valid, well, I would say that's a personal choice. A little research into when, why and how and by whom the Bible was brought to be, might shed some light for you on this. Emperor Constantine, might be a good place to start for you.

What about the incident when Ananias and then his wife Sapphira fell dead (miraculously!) at the words of the apostle Simon Peter? (Acts 5 verse 1 to 10)

Was that violence or not?

Probably find that all faiths lead away from God.
If theres a God, there is also a Devil.
What better way of stopping would be Lovers of God from worshipping him than by starting up or infultrating all religions in order to actually keep them away from the God they want to worship.

Didnt you read that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light in order to mislead?

Or Jesus ilustration of Satan planting weeds amongst the wheat.

Why do you think religions are resposible for all the blood spilled on the earth?

Sometimes it good to look at the history of religions,
Catholic Church, started by the Sunworshipper Constantine with the purpose of solidifing the fragmenting Roman empire.
Church of England, Henry 8th wanted a divorce,
etc etc

Dont use this as an excuse for not beliveing in God though.

Sigh. No, not all faiths do. There are a lot that do however, its not too hard to realise that.

Apparently is for many. Hence, religious genocides.
If I read what you're saying correctly.

I'd argue that faith seems less important than something
else. Not reason. Just a separate route. The way of paradox,
I'd call it.

Why assume that? There could be only God and nothingness. Darkness is non-existant; it is the absence of light, or a relatively low level of light. Some religions believe that what men call evil is the absence of goodness - it occurs when humans deny the truth and goodness of God.

In Judaeo-Chrisitian beliefs, the devil was a Johnny-come-lately. The universe was humming along fine when one of the angels rebelled, and some others followed in the rebellion. Not sure how a bunch of rag-tag angels can compare to The One God, and how many fallen angels (ie, devils) there are. If there are many devils, there must be many gods?

You do realize that there are dozens of religions out there whose basic premise requires a lack of belief in god, or any godlike entity?

Some of us see it less as rebellion,
and more a matter of asserting the
traditional freedoms against a newly
imposed tyranny.

Very well said, sir. An entire books worth of chapters summed up into one sentence.
