Ah, Wicca. It's more user-friendly than Chaos, less pretentious than Thelema, and less weighted down with philosophy and metaphor than Qabbalah. Pagan without being too pagan. You don't even have to give up Christmas and Easter!

There is no pinnacle, because the pinnacle is everywhere. Have you ever looked at one of those huge pictures of the Mandelbrot set, and zoomed in farther and farther looking for the end? It's like that. Once you go chasing down the rabbit hole there's no limit to how far you can go except for the limits you impose on yourself. As the physicist James Clerk Maxwell said once - "The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate; and the only laws of mind are fabricated by matter." Some of us are born to stray and go chasing rabbits.

Since it is now the day of the equinox, anyone up for a trans-locational group Magickal experiment? :jester:

Perhaps a fluxuating deconstruction of self-identity?

Wow,
Awhile back someone mentioned Wicca not being too serious. I happen to like things that don't take themselves seriously also, but this thread has become seriously serious. I have been into Wicca off and on for years and have no idea what anyone is talking about. I think Wicca was meant to be a simple religion dealing with the seasons and the interconnectedness of life and no one really has a claim on that. Sure, Gardner may have started things as we know it, but I don't think that gives him or anyone else that contributed some kind of guru type ownership. People have been practicing this kind of religion for thousands of years. All these guys did was rediscover it.

when did this thread become serious? Chaos is the farthest thing from serious, if thats what your refering to, it's meant to be fun. trancendentalist and materialist viewpoints are serious but that's because of their basis on set limits, chaos has no limits. No limits = nothing to get serious about. :jester: 'tis but a game...

Now THAT"S funny!
I'm not only a Tourney-sanctioned DM, I'm also a Junkyard Mage.
I'm developing my own brand of magick, as everyone should. I use mostly Sigils, but I don't use the method set out by Crowley or Spare, as I find both of their methods rather irritating.
It's nice to see other children of Eris here.

Can we make fun of Wicca in this thread or should we start another thread for that?

leave wicca alone
I have been a serious wiccan for a few months now
I've known about it for a few years :)
I don't beleive there is a right or wrong faith
wicca is mine though
