He complains about "taxes" which implies rightwing, but he complains about the rich -which implies left wing, but then its just rich folks "north of Richmond" which could be taken different ways. Could just mean "faraway elites" (ergo generic populism of either stripe), or it could mean "the north is victimizing us in the south" (which kinda implies rightwing nostalgia for the old south).
Basically its just one guy's populist statement that really cant be pigeonholed the usual ways.
Forgot...he also bashes folks "on welfare". So thats usually a Rightwing talking point (and could even be veiled racism).
New Yorkers Trump, and Guiliani, could be an examples of "rich men north of Richmond". So he could be anti Trump.
Which could make him Right, Left, or Center. But he could be for Trump which could make him Right, Left, or Center.
And he also makes a sly reference to Jeffery Epstein's crimes- and the elites involved in that scandal- in that line about an "island" (google the lyrics). Clever.
