Can someone give me a bit of a run down about exactly what Trump's Big beautiful Bill entails and when exactly the work requirements and so on are coming into effect?

I ask because I am on section 8 assisted living and get various benefits and so on. I'm basically trying to find a light in all this darkness and not completely panic over the idea of losing my apartment and so on.

It doesn't really matter anyway. We'll all lose coverage no matter how hard we try to prove ourselves. Republicans are evil. They did this because they want to raise the death toll to cut off as much of the long tail as possible.

This is why I don't vote Republican despite taking advantage of the tax breaks they enact.

For you, the light in all this darkness is that you live in Pennsylvania, a key swing state. This means that local political activism by you, personally, can make a national difference. I would suggest that you get involved in local activism to elect as many Democrats as possible to Congress in 2026, and to your state legislature in whichever year elections are held for same. (The state legislature is of vital importance because it controls, among other things, gerrymandering for the national election.)

I had similar thoughts on the matter myself. But thank you for putting it out there for me to see.
