This is a thread for calling attention to the work of Christians who oppose Christian nationalism.
For example, I recently ran into a YouTube channel The New Evangelicals Org, which describes itself as:
Quote:
Through educational resources and inclusive community spaces, we empower people to reject Christian Nationalism and boldly advocate for their neighbors while holding onto a faith rooted in the way of Jesus: with love, justice, and compassion for all.
Currently I'm watching the following video of theirs:
Tim Whitaker responds to a recent 60 minutes segment detailing the Trump Administration’s mistreatment of legal immigrants with no criminal records being deported to El Salvador. Why is there such anti-immigrant sentiment? The answer might surprise you.
Tim Whittaker himself is from a conservative Christian background.
I myself was brought up Christian (Protestant, Reformed) and gave up Christianity at the age of 15. But I will say that I think that the world (and the U.S.A., in particular) would be a much better place if more Christians were to follow the actual teachings of Jesus rather than striving for political dominance.

I was raised Lutheran, and I very much oppose Christian nationalism. In my religious tradition, there is the kingdom of God and the kingdom of earth. While God rules them both, they are two different entities that are not to be mixed.

Ya I think the Christian Nationalists need to read the Gospels especially where Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world. The Christian Nationalists remind me of the Zealots during the time of Christ.

The Zealots and the Pharisees.

Satan sets the course of the world (for now and insofar as he is allowed by God)
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Christians who are enthusiastic about changing the world (either left or right) may be more unaware that following the flesh and the world takes them further away from Christ.
Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
