Swarthmore students award Patrick Michaels a Certificate of Excellence in Corporate Climatology for his efforts to derail green technology in favor for the oil industry - who happen to fund 40% percent of his research.

Sadly that isn't going to matter to those not educated enough to understand the science. Why bother and learn the science yourself when it's so much easier to just take the word of partison political pundits and politicians?
Also, just to set the record, I'm not just bashing conservatives here. I also don't care for liberals who claim to be climate experts because they watched "An Inconvenient Truth" either.

The right wing media takes things out of context in a negative (denialist) light, while the left wing media does it in a positive (alarmist) light. The truth is much more complicated and most of the research is tl;dr for most people yet they are still willing to make bold assertions supporting or denying it

I disapprove of the false equivalencies being drawn in these posts. It is not equivalent. One side is almost certainly actually correct, and one side is a whore to corporate interests that wish to short-sightedly pursue profits at the expense of the entire f*****g planet.
