Obama's HOPE and CHANGE so far:
1. Unemployment at 9 percent projected to climb even higher
2. Obamacare which is still being debated by the US Supreme court which will really f**k us up in so many ways
3. Obamort's 2009 stimulas which flopped worse than the 2003 movie Gigli
Anyone who believed in Obamort's change enough to vote for the socialist pig, I got plenty of BBQ sauce for your crow.

There's a socialist running? Where? Please tell me, I'd love to vote for a socialist, but all I see are cronies of the banking industry in both major political parties

As a side note, I finally figured out why "Obamort" just doesn't seem to work. it took me a bit to figure out what the hell "Obamort" was supposed to mean in the first place, and when I say it in my head it still doesn't remind me even slightly of "Voldemort". The problem is that "Obama" stresses the second syllable, and is said rather quickly for a 3-syllable word, while "Voldemort" stresses the first syllable, and is also a bit drawn out, especially on said first syllable. See, this is what happens when you ostracize the "liberal elite": you can't even make a decent play on words. As an alternative, I suggest "Obailout". It's to the point and it sounds a whole lot better.
I like Obamanation. Sounds like abomination and Obama-nation. Two words which are related sort of. Though it's better just to call him by his real name Obama. Way classier.
We can just vote him out next November (2012), and be done with him the following January (2013).
Provided, of course, that there is another candidate worth voting for.

I can think of other names better than "Obamort"
"Obimbo"
"Obumble"
"O-bend-over-to-the-republicans"
Provided, of course, that there is another candidate worth voting for.
Aye. Therein lies the rub.

It's unlikely that he'll have a serious challenger in the primaries as an incumbent president, so it'll be a Republican challenger, and how's a Republican gonna be any different? Obama's staying the course in Iraq and Afghanistan, pushing pro-business economic policies, and won't come out for gay marriage (no pun intended). All that and he killed Bin Laden... so what I'm wondering is why the Republicans are looking for someone to run against him at all?

America has been moving in a socialist trend since Bush entered the white-house as the percent of government spending has been steadily increasing first with 2 wars, a medical prescription drug plan, pursuing both while cutting taxes from clinton-era rates, multiple bailouts including the stimulus plan, obamacare, etc
We spend like socialists but we don't live like socialists because of the two wars in Iraq y Afghanistan and our social safety net is largely aimed at the elderly. It is a liberal's wet dream to see our total spending right now be largely domestic, we could afford half of those uber-expensive high-speed rail, give teachers 6-figure salaries, bailout print journalism, repave all of our roads and provide government welfare and healthcare to all the illegal immigrants they want to grant amnesty to.

the trend america has been towards deregulation and the market.
or at least the has been the trend noticed by anyone not drunk off the flav-or-aid
of the cult of the right.

Tax cuts and bailouts of privately owned corporations are the exact opposite of socialist. War is not (directly, or supposed to be) connected with a nation's economic system, and Obamacare was a joke that didn't really change anything. And consequently, if guys in finance routinely make 6 figures, which they do, and basically do nothing except f**k up the economy, which again, they do, then you bet your ass teachers should make at least that much. Oh, and as for high speed rail and re-paving highways, ask any other country, either modern or developing, and I'm sure they'll tell you that something as silly as "infrastructure" - oh the absurdity of it - is a complete waste of time and money.

He did too good a job on his strawman - it makes better points than he does

None of that actually sounds too bad.

That is fine if that's been the trend(deregulation) because it has nothing to do with what I wrote... but that nothing to do with the 2.9 trillion dollars that Bush added to the deficit (another 2+ trillion in trade deficit over his 8 years as president) and the deficits Obama has put on the table.
And wouldn't you also like to see that fantasy I described above(with the trains and the expensive teachers) lived out?

Obama's approval rating is very bad and I don't see it recovering. Tanking economy, high unemployment, something like 6 wars going on, and no legislative accomplishments besides "it could of been way worse I swear" and the disastrous unpopular Obamacare He's no LBJ and even Bill Clinton. The only way Obama can win reelection is by a personality contest and luckily for him, a good portion of this country is stupid enough to vote for the better looking guy that they want to have a beer with.
