PPR creationism debate in a nutshell

1) Carbon dating is not accurate
2) Evolution cannot be proved scientifically
3) If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys
4) Irreducible complexity (the ol' human eye chestnut)
5) Atheism is a religion
6) Scientist "X" believed/believes in God so that validates God scientifically
7) Life appearing by chance is extremely improbable
8) The US was founded as a Christian nation
9) Evolution violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics
10) Hitler was an atheist

Quite clever, I must admit. Normally, I find such videos relatively boring, but this one is entertaining, funny and well-made.

On the Founding Fathers: most of their uses of the word "God" were propaganda. All Christian denominations and many deists would not disagree about the use of God here and there, and it might have provided a unifying concept. The different States were about as disunited as the various denominations, so just saying "God" was the only option -- here again, in the propaganda only.

Also, Hitler ate sugar.

I sometimes start my day drinking my decaf coffee and watching creationists talk on Youtube. The hilarity tends to put me in a good mood for most of the morning.

This reminds me of the time when a few months ago when George Pell (Archbishop of Sydney), had a debate with Richard Dawkins that was televised nationally on Q&A.

Some of the things Pell said:

- stated that Adam and Eve did not exist
- stated that humans evolved from neanderthals
- made an analogy that homosexuals are a flaw in an otherwise perfect oriental rug
- stated that he believes in evolution (despite arguing earlier that evolution did not make sense)

I have never laughed so hard at something that was supposed to be "educational" in all my life.

You should add it to your morning playlist sometime.

I love the first two. "The evidence for evolution is not enough to convince me, therefore the theory for which we have zero evidence must be true".

I think one of the most ignorant arguments against evolution is the old, "if we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"
Because, NUMBSKULLS, we didn't evolve from all apes, but from one specific type!! !!
How hard is that to grasp?
