Who else is trying to put pressure on Israel to ease the blockade on Gaza?

After the creation of a Paletinian State, who might be negotiating trade agreement and investment deals with the moneyed interests in the West?

If they agreed to be peaceful they would have peace in under a month. Plus they would be managing their own state and government. The last thing the Israelis want is to be minutely involved in the running of Palestinian State. All the Israelis are concerned with is their security and not being constantly assaulted. There is no profit (in the long term) in war. Peace, production, trade, commerce and the exchange of ideas are the only long term modalities that will succeed.

Well, we have a choice between an entity that refuses to recognise the right of Israel to exist and would use a Palestinian state to further its cause of destroying Israel and will continue to glorify violence or another entity that wants Israel annihilated and all Jews in the world murdered.

The removal of Israeli troops from Gaza has not stemmed the violence one iota. On the contrary, it has increased it. The Israelis would have to be frankly almost suicidally stupid to agree to any more concessions with people like Fatah or genocidal jihadists like Hamas at the present time.

Newsflash: people with a legitimate grievance will often become so angry that they risk undermining their moral credibility. If someone broke into my house and killed my family, I would probably yell that I wanted them to die. What do you think a judge would say about that if it was brought up as evidence against me?

What does it mean to "recognise" Israel? Does that involve saying that Israel is a legitimate entity as it currently exists? Of course they can't say that. That would be like the guy who broke into my house demanding that I say that the current situation is fine.

They've been saying stuff like this for years. They say it every day, every week, on channels across the Arab world. There's hundreds and hundreds of videos just like this one on the MEMRI website. This is a systematic campaign of extermination against Jews. And it's not just Hamas (who are, erm, an Iranian outfit who absolutely, positively do not give a toss about real Palestinians, leaving them to die, using them as human shields and promoting them as suicide terrorists) who do this. This is on Saudi, Egyptian, Iranian, Yemeni, etc etc, television. It's all over the place.

Also, they don't just target Israel here - these people (and those like them in other Arab countries, not just in the disputed territories) routinely deny or praise the Holocaust and demonise Jews for being Jews. All Jews. Even those that have never been to Israel. They variously demand that Jews be driven out of the Middle East or killed. Some others go further and say that all Jews in the world should be murdered.

If I had said some of the same stuff about Muslims as Islamists say about Jews on Arab TV, I'd expect to be in jail.

But think of their pride and all those strong emotions built up in them against their enemy. They can't just surrender and concede to your own selfish version of "peace" without fighting. It's easy to just talk, but try to think of yourself as a Palestinian and see where they're coming from.

Not defending Hamas, by the way. Personally, I agree that, overall, the Islamic mind is probably the most dangerous mind in the current world at the moment.
