If you've ever wondered why the police have earned the handle of 'f*****g pigs' this sort of thing is why.

Can't wait to see how the resident ice heart right wingers jump to their defence.

That's a rather ridiculous reaction.

So how did the whole series of events end? Maybe the police did something good.

Around here, it takes the owner of the property that people are camping on to register a complaint with the police before any action can be taken. The police do occasionally round up the denizens of squatters' camps, with their belongings, and then take the people to either a shelter or the police station (depending on their behavior and level of intoxication). Their belongings are kept in storage for 90 days (minimum?), or until the person claims them.

It's really sad. Given the amount of derelict buildings, factories, and shops closed down, you'd think better provision could be made. But no - that would be giving something for nothing, and we wouldn't want to do that, now would we? Hmpf.

It is kinda sad. Broken down, abandoned factories are allowed. Broken down, abandoned people are not.

There was a homeless camp where the Clinton library is at now,all those poor people were given the boot so that fugly thing that looks like a double wide trailer on stilts could be erected there.

Homelessness isn't always a question of available housing, in fact it quite often isn't.

It can be the case that that they are broke, or trying to save money, must often it is is rated to mental health and/or drugs.

In fact some 'homeless' people have housing to go to, even can be property owners in some cases.

This is not diminishing or belittling their problems, which is something we should care about as a society.

And if that baby is the exception to the rule the government might help him but being as government never really does anything but pretend to help people I doubt it will matter who is in charge.
