Yeah, you've probably been hunting/fishing and felt reverence towards your game. As have I. My car has leather seats, they last twice as long as cloth. That's markedly different from stealing the lives of creatures we've known as quite cunning in mythos and folklore for thousands of years. I have no problem with predatory impulse when has a practical use, the fact is that we haven't had any need for furs since we began raising sheep. Wool is a better material anyway.
If not for scavengers like foxes all your cows, deer, elk and most large game would've been wiped out by plagues centuries ago.
