Not sure if you are being sarcastic the whole way through, or the last bit was heartfelt.
It was all heartfelt. I'm quite serious about the pecking order being built into, not only humans, but all living things. Abraham Maslow discusses this using the example of chickens - where pecking order is literally pecking order. They will eat what is best for them if it is available. However, they won't starve to death if it is not available. They'll choose the best of what is available. If left alone, not forced, coerced, deprived, etc., humans and animals will make the best choices for their individual survival which translates into the survival of their kind as a group.
Who can say it better than Alice in Chains, in my opinion one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written or performed in this unplugged version. It drives me craaaaaazzzzy!

Aint found a way to kill me yet
Eyes burn with stinging sweat
Seems every path leads me to nowhere
Wife and kids household pet
Army green was no safe bet
The bullets scream to me from somewhere
Here they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah here come the rooster, yeah
You know he aint gonna die
No, no, no, ya know he aint gonna die
Walkin tall machine gun man
They spit on me in my home land
Gloria sent me pictures of my boy
Got my pills gainst mosquito death
My buddys breathin his dyin breath
Oh God please wont you help me make it through
Here they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah here come the rooster, yeah
You know he aint gonna die
No, no, no ya know he aint gonna die
