What would a country run entirely by Aspies be like?

This was something I was thinking about and wondered what are your thoughts.

For one, I would imagine that there would be zero corruption, complete honesty and integrity from the politicians and hopefully tolerence for all types of people, whether autistic or not.

But would that actually lead to a 'better' country or not?

Absolute chaos.

Politician = social greasiness.

Everyone would be lost into their work obsessions, not wishing to be disturbed, which "the people" would do, because the government is there to serve.

Well, there probably wouldn't be too many sporting events.

nor schools, nightclubs, noise.

Like a giant library!! crossed with the kind of quiet pub/bar with lots of cosy nooks and big chairs and snug hideaways for long discussions. And teleportation cubicles in the streets every 500m to take you away whenever want. And no more open plan offices.

It would be a lot better. AS people can see through to the heart of issues, the 'real' solution to problems. The truth of the matter is I have AS, and I would make a great president.

If the people on this forum are anything to go by, rape would be legal.

We would probably be eaten for breakfast by the remainder of the world, unless we could devise technology to make ourselves impermeable to external attack. Maybe I am misconstruing things but it's my impression that aspies have a strong pacifist streak, and I'm not sure if a truly pacifist society would be tenable in the world as it exists presently.

That, and prostitution would probably be quickly legalized, if the many WP threads devoted to to the subject are any barometer .

Does this imply a closed, Aspies-only society?

Look, I used to be somewhat guilty of this myself, probably because I have been silently victimized or ignored because of my differences with NT society. But, AS does not mean people are better, it doesn't mean we're omnipotent or virtuous or "angels", it's hard to really get any real statistics off these forums because you never know who'se for real and who'se pretending to be aspie to seek attention. But there are dysfunctional aspies too.
All these people come on here and act like "Oh I'm so happy to be autistic, look how free thinking I am", and many are anything BUT free thinkers, theyr PC nut jobs, in a few cases even extreme right wing religious fanatics, no different than NTs. They conform to the same crap and baggage as NTs do.
As for an autistic nation, this could be a good thing, if it were modeled on the Israel method. It could be a place where aspies are accepted as normal, where new opportunities arise for us, where ableist societal segregation is no longer an issue, and where we can begin to show the rest of the world that we ARE independent people. But, I do not think the powers that be (the banking elites) would take very well to this concept.

i doubt Aspies would actually be interested in running the government. so basically civilization would collapse.

I dunno about that, we are very logical, intellectually driven people. Well, many of us anyhow. We might would be great technological developers in the world, up there with Japan and US, if we had our own nation.

Since when are politicians logical and intellectually driven people. The most they know how to do is lie and lie well. If there were an aspie nation it should be a monarchy with me a king.

Scary, real scary. Problems wouldn't be planned for, they'd be dealt with as it happened, huge swaths of human nature would be ignored, the political thought policing would be worse, the parliament or houses or representation would make all the western democracies we always cry about look fantastic in comparison.

I'm serious though, if a purely aspie-run government appropriates my country I hope I get fair warning. I'll start my citizenship for some other place far far away as soon as I can, even Mexico if it really comes down to it.

We need not rule, just give good advice on statecraft. In the old times, we were sought by the warrior-kings (the aggressive Alpha is the best actual leader, has all the ability to rouse and lead people) as we were the "brainy" types, whom they could count on as we were honest ...
and they were the "brawny" types ...

"Educating" the pols is our job, not replacing them ...

Who wants to sit around dealing with the day-to-day political issues, when we could be sitting comfortably in our "ivory towers," "performing the 'Natchiketa' sacrifice," listening to Mozart, Ravi Shankar, Dr. John, the Beatles, etc, etc, etc? * ...
