Wood you believe me if I told you I was Jesus reincarnation?

If not, would it be because I spelt 'would' as 'wood'?

No, but only because you can't spell... Jesus didn't misspell anything in the Gospels, and that was in the days before spell checking...

Jesus did absolutely none of the writing. The gospels were all written after his death and resurrection.

Hey, 2,000 years ago people believed some bearded weirdo when he said he was the son of god. And these days they think that ONLY by believing that he is our savior will send you to heaven. So yeah, you may be reincarnated jesus.

Ahh Jesus did not write anything in the gospels. In fact we have no writings from Jesus at all

Was it common for fishermen and carpenters to be literate in those times?

The thought just occurred to me.

Probably not. I don't know which of the 12 were literate and which ones weren't.

Its an interesting question. Its perfectly reasonable to assume literacy in those times was greater than 1000 years later. Certainly people were more multi-lingual.
