George Carlin: "How come when it's us it's an abortion and when it's a chicken it's an omelet? " - Brilliant.

While I recognize this is a joke, it doesn't make sense on at least two levels.
1) Most eggs used for consumption aren't fertilized, and, more importantly
2) Consider in analog, "How come when it's us it's baby eating but when it's a sheep it's lamb-kebabs."

its wrong because human flesh tastes like pork, hence the name for human meat in the Maori language translates to "long pig."

I'll pray for you (Don't tell me not to because I'm doing it anyway)

You know, I didn't really do much of an insult there, especially since I don't know what Claire333 smells like or even looks like(I don't check out video or picture threads and usually hang around PPR) so, all of these "insults" are just ridiculous.

No worries, AG. I knew you were joking, and I knew she was not.

Was there ever any decency in this thread? I mean, look at the title. The thread started out disgusting and tasteless, and it hasn't gotten any better since then.

Why are you adressing this to me.

I wasn't addressing it to you, I quoted you because it summed up what was going on the best.

Yes, a joke, and would say only that and nothing more, though the picture seems a lot more illustrative than the original joke itself, and I would have to be careful next time I eat an egg so it doesn't have eyes :P

Actually I have assumed that all eggs used for consumption must be unfertilized, though there might be some that actually are? I suppose there would be not much difference in taste.

Perhaps that analog may be used by animal rights activists in support of their agenda.

Capital punishment is Biblical. The law should have caught up with Tiller long, long ago as the serial killer he was. Jesus never advocated a lawless society, or one without punishment for crime. His message was that our worldly concerns and strifes with each other are secondary, and that primarily we should focus on loving one another, because it's the next world -- the eternal one -- that matters most.
I'm not saying that Tiller's killer made the right choice. I'm just pointing out the succession of facts: 1. Tiller killed thousands of babies. 2. Tiller was killed. 3. Tiller doesn't kill babies anymore.

I couldn't help to be reminded of your thread against Islam after reading this, there seems to be a bit of irony here relating to defending positions and acting upon them, considering that extremists would likely make similar claims to justify their actions, given that you think he deserved to be killed (capital punishment - Old Testament), then that is where the irony seems to come in play, not to mention that the killer would be making similar or same justifications of his action in prison, and he wouldn't be the only one, regardless of religion, beliefs, etc.

I have some I'd post but they definitely wouldn't be allowed here.

By the way, converting me won't do any good - read Matthew 12:32

Maybe, maybe not. I am sure Germany would have taken up arms again since it was dealt with unjustly following the Great War 1914-1918. The Germans were made the scape goats of the war. Austria Hungary was just as complicit as Germany and so was the Ottoman Empire.

The French got even for the Franco-Prussian war which they lost so ingloriously.

True enough; all I'm saying is that you can't just murder all of your enemies - that won't destroy an idea or a thought, merely brutally oppress it.

It's interesting, isn't it folks? The outrage over the death of a man who spent his career with babies' blood on his hands, squeezing the life from their tiny, defenseless bodies. Versus the cone of silence around those innocent babies' deaths at Tiller's hands.

The outrage is partially over the violation of US laws, partially over murder, and partially over how this murder was accomplished, as it was done in a church.

In this thread, the outrage is at your behavior. Why? Because you are talking about the rightness of murder.

Again, no I am not. I'm talking about the acceptability of the present case: an continuous killer being dead.
My view is a complex, even complicated one, I'll grant you, but I want you to understand it.
As I already stated, I'm not saying Tiller's killer made the right decision in killing him. I'm saying only what I'm saying, which is that Tiller's death isn't a bad thing.

If you put extra words in my mouth, you're no longer arguing with me or my views.

That'd be the same as hating JFK and saying that his death wasn't a bad thing. Or that someone you didn't like in high school dying and that you think their death wasn't a bad thing.

No, that would be quite different. JFK didn't kill 60,000 innocent people, and neither did any of my high school peers.
Tell me, is 60,000 just a number to you? And, since you clearly have no objection to Tiller's acts, would you be averse to seeing the corpses that make up that number?

What would be really interesting and illuminating is to have you explain why Tiller didn't deserve death while standing next to a pile of his dead victims' bodies. As should all defenders of the Holocaust stand in front of lifesize posters of the piles of dead Jews while defending Hitler's philosophy. At least have the courage to face, and literally see, what you advocate. Abortion is a silent Holocaust. This truth is barely aloud to be written on WP, as I have already been warned.

If you lectured from a podium surrounded by the bodies of Tiller's victims, we could more clearly see your point. And how wrong it is. We could all see, with out own eyes, the results of the acts you're defending. Showing those corpses would not be permissible on Wrong Planet. But advocating that the piles grow ever higher is.
