That's nice considering how anti-business this President is that's probably exactly what will happen.

What is anti-business to you?

Threatening anyone whom publicly disagrees with Obama's agenda because they think it will hurt the country. That includes threatening to have companies auditted and investigated by the DoJ.

Thank you for confirming what auntblabby just said.

A lot of Obama's 'solutions' involves rewarding his political contributors not actually solving the problem.

Having people dress up as doctors to give his Obamacare some sort of legitimacy is propaganda. Fact is a lot of doctors plan on quitting the medical profession rather than going bankrupt because Obamacare is such a bad law. Does that break it down for you.

There may be some doctors who plan that, but most do not; the AMA, which is a very conservative trade group, supported the health care bill.

The cure for that is de-licensing the practice of medicine. The competition thus allowed will lower the price of the service.

Yes, it is an idea. Not original with me, though.

Aspies come in all shapes, sizes and varieties. To be an Aspie is to be Human. I believe that the Aspie variation has been part and parcel of the human scene since our species evolved about a quarter of a million years ago.

Actually, I would argue that the biggest factor that drives up the cost of medical care is insurance. By creating a moral hazard, the consumer is no longer incentivized to promote competition among service providers.

If de-licensing ever comes around, I'm investing in snake-oil futures.

Have you ever looked up how much a doctor has to pay for liability insurance due to all the junk lawsuits? Root of the problem is probably we have too many lawyers with too much free time on their hands...

Too much government is bad. It is logical to assume less would be better.

The lawsuits are being directed at pharmaceutical companies these days: more money there.

Which drives up costs for prescriptions which insurance companies pay for.

One reason why anyone will be a left-winger: to live off the alms of others.

Of course, not all leftists are welfare leech, but most parasites are beneficiaries of leftist policies. Any you've all seen these individuals that use their autism diagnosis as an excuse for many, many personal failures. People like that are very inclined to label themselves as the left, since leftism is essentially valuing the collective responsibility over the personal.

It's funny: I'm a working, tax-paying American who thinks that Obama is center-right, and I just moved out of a situation where my housemate was "disabled" (in scare-quotes b/c the degree of her disability depended largely on what needed to be done at any particular moment), living *completely* on the state and federal governments (and me), and was constantly complaining about 'welfare queens' and 'illegals' using up all of the resources. She loved Palin.

That, and the fact that the Red states take far more in Federal subsidies than the Blue states, makes me wonder sometimes if the whole right-wing movement is transference.

Ugh, THAT guy. -_-; Can't fùcking stand him. He skews facts. I'm not going to get into this, anymore; the liberals and right-wing extremists won't listen to anything you say, anyway; not even the part that I mentioned, before, that some end up feeling forced into prostitution, if they don't get some sort of economical help, was addressed, so why bother? And then one of those that mainly are arguing against socialism, here, finds it okay to mow down innocents in Afghanistan. Proves at least HIS total lack of empathy.

You know, I never even knew that dude existed until now. But I do find it interesting that this kind of character assassination sketch is often used against any source of information or opinion which another happens to disagree with on some point or another or in general. It kind of side steps anything they say in order to make the focus be upon them personally.
