Actually, you couldn't have a collie run for president. The president has to be at least 35 years old, and that is not in "dog years." Inuyasha is so dumb and knaive.

It is a figure of speech, I would have put in horse in place of collie, but I didn't think you would get the reference.

Are you familiar with how voting works?

Poling, like statistics, can be selective and therefor inaccurate.

We'll see how it goes next November...........

A parrot can live for at least 35 years. Can't be worse than some politicians now.

Most parrots can speak atleast as well, if not better, than George W. Bush!

And parrots dont "disassemble".
That word means 'lie' according to Bush.

And I should believe the polls are accurate why? The mainstream media has already demonstrated their rationality goes out the window whenever Sarah Palin is brought up, for all we know they conducted the poll using the staff of the DNC.

He's used to the Frank Luntz methodology of polling where it is intentionally skewed to serve a purpose rather than attempting to be honest to get a representative sample.

The Brookfield Zoo has a cockatoo that is almost 80 years old.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cookie_(cockatoo)

Maybe this one is a bit old (about the same age as the Republicans' last candidate), but I'm sure that a cockatoo (even an octogenarian cockatoo) would make a better candidate than Mr. Gingrich. Certainly the cockatoo would be a prettier candidate. Plus, much less unpleasant and disagreeable.

I think we should have a parrot president and a tortoise vice president. Who doesn't like parrots and tortoises? They represent a good range of the animal kingdom and can get a broad voter base. They have differing styles to please all sorts of voters. The mammalian vote might be put off but the parrot can please them with what they want to hear so it should be an easy victory.

EDIT: Remember, tortoises can't speak, so they cannot put their foot in their mouth...

A tortoise would be a good choice. They can live more than 100 years. Finding one that is at least 35 years old should be easy enough. But, it will have to have been hatched in the USA.

Here is a good question: for either a tortoise or a cockatoo to be eligible for the presidency, is it enough for the tortoise or cockatoo to have been hatched in the USA? Or, would he have to have been laid in the USA?

I'm using the masculine pronoun--I just don't think that the country is ready for a female to run the country.

There are zoos on the soil. They keep records of birth.

EDIT: Obviously hatched on soil. Non-citizens come over all the time and give birth despite not conceiving in the country. All you have to do is hatch from your egg on the soil.
