I'm not saying all Palestinians do that, I'm saying their school system does that.

Also I don't find the situation amusing, I find it to be sad.

Right now, I would say the blood is on the hands of Palestinians (particularly Hamas), not the Israelis.

The blood is on both hands sir, you must in the duty of serving the truth admit that.

I'm not going to blame the Israelis when they try their best to minimize the number of noncombatants killed. They can't help the fact the people they are fighting love to use children as human shields.

And you seem to completely ignore the attrocities commited by the israelis? All i'll read from you is a steady stream of rhetoric about the "evil palestinians" while completely ignoring the facts surrounding the horrid treatment that they endure. This is an old tactic..one cannot admit the humanity of an enemy...however these people are human beings..and i feel that it does them a grave disservace to use generalities about an entire people. Yes i am guilty in some degree to that aspect..but that is only because the israeli side has a much louder bullhorn to drown out the palestinian pleas to the world.

To continue with such a train of thought is narrow minded and imho a stone age approach to such a travesty on both sides. I often feel the only reason that the israelis do not just full out exterminate or evict the palestininans is the fallout that they would suffer from their neighbors.

If the Israelis wanted to, they probably could have wiped out all the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank in under 48 hours. Instead the Israelis have time and time again gone for surgical strikes on Hamas leadership rather than carpet bombing the West Bank and Gaza.

If a pure American national interest is the only concern, there is no reason for us to have any concerns for non-American's. We can sit back and do our own thing, and just nuke to extinction anyone who violates our sovereignty. If we need middle east oil we could just exterminate to locals and take the oil ourselves. Or better yet how about we just enslave the locals and force them to do the work and give us their oil?

There is more life than just American national interests. Restricting arguments to only that issue brings absurdity.

so many false assumptions
Public relations an trade can be in the national interest.
also I think that treating oil as a commodity that is bought and sold and freely is in our interest.
enslaving the world is a dubious strategy.
The free market is cheaper than slavery
you have to feed your slaves.

Why do so many lefties go on about Palestine so much? Wouldn't it be more apposite of them to go on about much worse circumstances, like Congo for instance? Or is that not in vogue?

A guarantee tool for preventing a rival supernation/united-states/any_form_of_union to emerge. It's not a matter of a direct benefit but it's a long-term beneficial prevention strategy.

Anything which is a thorn against the Arab world 's progress is usually supported and feed by the US (Israel, dictatorship, non-state for Palestinians, Arab/Iranian conflicts...). That's why the US was not very enthusiastic regarding the revolutions in the Arab countries (they only showed shy support after the dictators' brutality and unpopularity got exposed in front of the whole world).

Arab countries have a common language, common ethnics, common cultures, common values and a common main religion. They have the wealth (oil) , the economy (Gulf countries), potential brains (ie. Egyptian scientists) ...and numbers. Any renaissance in the Arab world might lead to a form of an union (similar to the EU), the US knows this and she doesn't want it to happen anytime in the future.

A strategic bank-head in the Middle East perhaps?

As a man of faith, I was especially moved when Beck read on air from the Book of Ruth.

He choked up when he quoted Ruth the Moabite’s appeal to her mother-in-law Naomi: “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.”

This, he said, had helped inspire him to stand with the Jews.

This brings to mind a verse in Genesis (12:3), where God made a promise to Abraham and all of mankind: “I will bless those who bless you, and those who curse you shall be cursed.”

Notice how there is no middle ground. Each person is presented with a clear and unequivocal choice: You either bless Abraham’s descendants, the Jews, or you curse them.

Glenn Beck has courageously chosen to bless them, and to bring Jews, Christians and others together to take a stand.

Here’s hoping that many heed his call.

So, there you have it. If America blesses Israel, then God will bless America. If America doesn't bless Israel, then, by definition, America is cursing Israel. Then, God will smite America.

You neglected to mention that their neighbors are hell bent on murdering every Jewish Person down to the last baby, and they have walled off the Palestinians because they got fed up with Palestinians blowing themselves up in diners and shopping malls.

funny how they never had that problem before when they lived side by side with their arab neighbors lol.

Actually they did, hell they had the problems all through Europe too. The Arabs tried to annihilate them as soon as they became a country... I'm not going to sit here and not call you out on your misrepresentation of history.

This is generally what happens when you declare statehood on someone else's land. I'm not going to sit here and not call you out on a bunch of Zionist garbage. The truth is, Israelis are conquerors. With the full backing of the most powerful nation on the planet, they were able to steal someone's homeland. It's not surprising we're not sympathetic to the defeated natives, since we are guilty of the same action. If you aren't African, you're living on borrowed land. That's history.

How is it in anyone's (other than Israels) national interest to support Israel?

During the Cold War Israel sometimes got a hold of Soviet technology which they passed on to the U.S. But the Cold War is over. The only material benefit I see is a toe hold or a land-air craft carrier in the Middle East if the Saudis shut us out.

Here is what I am afraid of. Policy makers in the U.S take seriously the biblical injunction I will bless those that bless you (referring to Abraham) and curse those who curse you. If that is the case, the urge to support Israel is based on Gentile madness which I am sure the Israelis are willing to exploit.
