"Why are conservatives hated more than liberals?"
We're what's standing in the way of the destruction of America.
Sure, there are some conservatives that are over the top in some of their beliefs¸ in some cases all of their beliefs. Some are very hypocritical, too.
Most conservatives ride in the mid-range of the right wing or even closer to center, though.
Even with that they still typically believe in God, individual accountability, minimal role of government in our lives, that taxes aren’t the answer to everything, patriotism, a strong national defense, America first, private industry at all levels, the value of innocent human life, etc……….
Those values are an obstruction to the socialization and ultimate end of the nation.
As for me, being hated by the left only tells me I must be on the right track.
I think that depends on what you consider marginalized and what you consider a wingnut to be, as well as what your particular sensitivities are. As another libertarian recently said, within the pantheon of groups considered liberal you will find people who consider government regulation or restriction of virtually everything imaginable to be a policy imperative; I find that very alarming and not at all fringe within liberal politics. However, to most people nannny-staters and pseudo intellectuals with crypto authoritarian political designs are not nearly as sinister as the aforementioned conservative stereotypes, hence the hate gap. The religious element that US conservatism embraced in the 80's hasn't helped either, it only takes a relative handful of WBC types to seriously give you a guilt by association black eye.

I haven't bothered addressing anything of Bill's... it is ridiculous enough to leave alone.
I base my conclusion here: there is no one in the mainstream media who acts as a true left-wing equivalent to Glenn Beck. The liberal commentators are still pro-capitalist; we don't have any prominent socialist agitators in this country. If you look at our elected officials, the radical left is much weaker than the radical right. Bernie Sanders is nowhere near as powerful and influential as Paul Ryan. For the most part, the Democrats (or at least, the Democrats who are calling the shots) are happy to stick with centrist or center-right positions- remember, virtually everything Obama has done in his administration thus far was initially a Republican proposal. The PPACA, the individual mandate, cap and trade, extension of Bush tax cuts, escalation of the mid-East wars, intervention in further mid-East conflicts, new START treaty, funding for construction of new nuclear power plants, proposals to begin dismantling Social Security and Medicare, etc ad nauseam are all Republican positions. This has been a Republican administration. It has been equivalent to or perhaps slightly to the right of John McCain's stated positions on the campaign trail. The right-wing radicals are more dangerous than the left-wing radicals because right now they have more influence on what actually happens in politics. The far left is just being ignored entirely, while at the same time there is serious talk of destroying Medicare. And do not fool yourself- none but the most ardent right-wingers in this country actually want to get rid of Medicare.
So name some powerful and influential politicians who are actually advancing those policies and meeting with success.

Though this was intended as an insult, I don't think Beck would take it as such, cause quite frankly there hasn't been a left winger that has been remotely as accurate as Beck has been at analyzing facts. You want to try to claim monatizing the debt was a good thing now?
I don't recall government controlling things to be pro-capitalist, that is socialism at best, better described as Communism.
I don't recall the idea of wanting a balanced budget is a radical idea, if that's your idea of radical right, you need to get help.
So name some powerful and influential politicians who are actually advancing those policies and meeting with success.
1, Try Obama's Labor board telling Boeing they can't build a plant in South Carolina.
2. Try Obama's interior department committing fraud and plagerism (referring to scientist recommendations on Oil Spill in Gulf and moratorium (sp?) and the fact that after the scientists had signed their report, the Obama administration changed the report to say something entirely different).
That's just two things off the top of my head.

It's not just gay guys they're trying to drive insane, though. It's anybody who is "different." Quite frankly, if you think I have no forgivable motive at all to want to see those kinds of degenerates shoved into a pit with a smoking hole in their heads, you have lived a sheltered existence.
Conservatives are hated because they make the rest of us miserable.

Really, the people that treated me like garbage were liberals, the ones that kept pushing me to succeed were Conservatives.
And what really makes me hate them is that they don't ever reform! They see some guy down on his luck and look upon that person with contempt, as if someone who can't make ends meet for a while somehow deserves to suffer. You know, people who have to be like that toward their fellow man are disposable.
Throughout their lives, they go on doing the same things in different ways. They never change. These are people who think that the only way they can ever feel successful is see other people suffer, and this seems to be a hallmark of the conservative psyche. Again, they are disposable.
The only times I've ever been at the brunt of crap from the apparent political left have been times I've received racially motivated harrassment from black people, but there is something so impersonal about that kind harrassment that it just doesn't stick with me. It's almost like they're just blowing off steam, and they forget about it as quickly as they've vented their spleens.

The reason conservatives attract more disrespect than liberals is because they are generally more disrespectful. You give respect to get respect.

I haven't seen one conservative give a reasonable argument that privatizing Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc. is the only solution to our long term budget issues. Not to mention giving out further tax cuts to the wealthy is COMPLETELY counterproductive. The dogmatic voodoo-economic belief that cutting taxes doesn't affect revenue is just outright dishonest. Something tells me people like Paul Ryan are simply using the budget issue to scare people into believing their ideologically driven experimentation is the only way out even when the vast majority of Americans are NOT particularly keen on the idea.
