Religion needs to stay out of sexual ethics
How is the DOE imposing Atheism, when all they are really trying to do is impose a competitive level of practical education, especially in the sciences?
Science =\= Atheism
Teaching that Christianity is completely bad without mentioning the good things Christianity has does equal preaching atheism, the same is true about bashing Jewish people (though they have the advantage of being able to call people out as being anti-semetic).
Did Glenn Beck tell you this?
Nope, it is the fact that a few years ago one of the required readings for educators to be was by Bill Ayers, among other indicators.
and i certainly wouldnt tell a child anything like that to damage thier growing mind
My growing mind would have appreciated some data. I was forced to attend church with no information on why. I was - for a while - put in Sunday School which explained absolutely nothing.
It is not so much that the educational system pushes atheism - it certainly does not push science. It simply assumes atheism. Teachers who have been taught by professors who studiede in departments that assume atheism will in most cases not come up with anything original.
Contemporary education up through high school in this country is in most cases a misnomer. Daycare plus socialization.
But I don't believe the DOA pushes atheism, it pushes uniformity. If the standard model were theist, the kiddies would be sociualized as - say - Methodists.

And this book by Bill Ayers emphasized that Christianity was completely bad, without mentioning any good things about Christianity?
What book was it?

The man has a B.A. from the University of Michigan; a Master's Degree (M.Ed.) from the Bank Street College of Education (M.Ed.); and both a Master's (Ed.M) and Doctorate (ED.D) from the Teachers College at Columbia University.
Smart guy. All of those degrees in education mean much more than any High School or G.E.D. diploma.
You are advocating abridging the rights of parents to teach their children the values and customs of their family? What would you recommend? Making the the State the effective parent of our children?
Be careful of what you wish for. You just might get it.
