No he didn't. A detail of SEALS did that. Obama greenlighted the conclusion of an operation that has been going on since the last administration. Anyone in office would have done the same.

Had Lincoln been defeated after his first term, he'd have been remembered as a failure as a president. Today, we recognize him as our best president - largely due to achievements in his second term.
I'm not going to count Obama's worth as a president out yet. And the fact remains, he actually had gotten quite a few things passed in congress, and he had killed our current greatest enemy. I think now that he realizes that trying to be a conciliator with the Republicans isn't ever going to work, he'll hopefully show the leadership I believe is in him.

Seriously Obama is crap. But look at the freaking clowns the republicans are offering us. It would be irrational to vote any of them and you know it. Plus all that Obama needs to get the 1% margin that will make him win is pull a good publicity stunt near the elections.

Actually, John McCain had said he would not strike into Pakistan to go after Bin Laden. So, maybe not everyone would have done the same thing.

Barak Obama is our elected King and Commander in Chief. He is the Man that orders military operations.

He owns all the benefits, non-benefits and consequences of that which he orders.

So what are the democrats doing to create jobs even when they had the house majority they still didn't do anything for us.

The Democrats unfortunately blew that chance because Obama in his naive idealism thought he could be a conciliator by seeking bipartisanship with the Republicans. He only came to realize, the ideologues of the senatorial and congressional Republicans were actually serious when they had said they would do anything in their power to seek his defeat in the next election. And that meant digging in their heels in regard to any economic recovery.
Let's hope that a more experienced Barack Obama will be more willing to give the Republicans the back of his hand.

As I had stated before, he rather naively believed he could reach common ground with the Republicans, and in doing so, allowed them to walk all over him. I think (hope) he's beginning to grow a pair, now.

As a man facing, like it or not, his first real leadership position, i can understand where he's coming from.

There is an ideal that the team you have working below you is really who gets the work done.

It's sad to realize that the team is a bunch of a**holes. Wish he'd realized it sooner.

You're both right.

In my opinion, Mr. Obama is a "dud and an empty suit" who was unprepared for leadership. He is in way over his head, and is likely to be blamed for everything from starting the war in Iraq to causing periodontal disease in minority children.

I'll be glad when he is voted out of office, of course, but who to vote in? Normally, I'd vote for a candidate that has served in the military, but the current ones seem as lame as three-legged oxen.
