EVEN if that is true and lets just say for the sake of argument it is, having things like carbon taxes just hurt the middle class and the poor. As I stated before, until the government actually looks into industrial hemps, it's all just an excuse for increased taxation. That being stated, I don't blindly follow that 97% of scientists agree. What scientists? Also, scientists aren't above accepting money to report bs findings. With that being stated, we should have an alternative to oil, namely hemp; however do you really think the big oil lobbyists will not try and prevent that from happening? What do you think they would rather do, fight for industrialized hemp, or push the government to add more taxes so that they can still make all this money; while the government makes more money off of the middle class? It's all bs. The UN has it's own agenda. We should have alternatives though to get rid of pollution and the dependence on foreign oil.

Yes, absolutely, some scientists take money in order to come up with an outcome favorable to one or other interests. Such scientists are corporate shills who deny climate change for the sake of their masters in the oil and coal industries. I for one do accept the conclusion of 97% of scientists, as they are not beholden to corporate interests.

You're completely ignoring everything else I wrote. How is the UN going to fix anything?

No, I just wanted to address the scientist subject.

The Science, a study of studies was done. 97% of the studies mentioned that human activity was not neutral. Farming, paving, building, did have some effect. It was minor compared to cow farts, but it was still a minor factor.

The Media, 97% of all Scientists say hairless ground apes are destroying the planet! World ending soon!

The largest greenhouse gas, H2O, the second, CH4, Methane. the third, CO2. Nothing is everything, the world warms and cools, when it warms Methane from decay exceeds cow farts, lake bottoms, permafrost, ocean bottoms. it is the strongest greenhouse gas, and is fully beyond our control. H2O is the largest gas, and is also beyond our control.

Blaming CO2 does not fit with the climate history we know. Rome was warmer, CO2 lower.

If CO2 was the evil of evils, us stopping production and starving would have no affect. China and India are the main producers.

Should the world have a climate change plan? Yes! A year like 1815, The Year Without Summer, had killing frosts in the summer months. Crops were planted three times, and died. Hotter or colder we need a disaster plan.

We do not drive the climate, it drives us.

Shocking! We are 2.1F hotter in the last 120 years, which was about the time the Little Ice Age ended.

Global warming is our best hope of survival. 2.5F colder and it is back to short growing seasons, crops rotting in the field because there was no dry fall to ripen in, ergot grew on the grain, plagues of rats, their fleas spreading the Black Death, three times.

The good old days are not much of a model to aspire to. The best was the years 200-500, when Rome thrived. sorta. It was 5F warmer than now. Grapes were grown in Scotland.

In 705 the Nile and Black Sea froze, in 900 the Vikings came south because their crops would no longer ripen. It did not warm up till 1870.

99% of Historians say, everyone lives in a small bubble.

Cow farts wouldn't be an issue if they were fed proper diets of grass instead of grain. Factory farming is what is causing an excess of cow farts.

Folks I think we might have scared off Angela, whomever she is. 50/50 chance she was a character foil for someone I know. Please consider the real-life reasons one might troll.

Anyways what I do know is that she'll be back.

One thing Bernie has been is consistent.

Trump and Hillary are populists.

Hillary was against gay marriage at a time when less then 50% of people were against it now she has changed her tune.

There is nothing wrong with changing you mind, but it seen to me that it is not a coincidence that she changed just when average public opinion changed.

Leave the cows alone. The Real Problem is men farting around on Sundays while they watch football, drink beer and scratch themselves in odd places. What are we going to do about them?

I only come back when there is something important to address. You have anything else that might be important yet?

She most likely is still anti gay marriage at heart and will make that apparent at some time after entering the oval office (familiar ground to her). Right now she needs the support of the left and, like any other politician, will trim her sails according to what's in vogue at the time.
I doubt they really care as long as she's not a republican.

See, your mistake was trolling right to left; you can troll left to right all day in PPR and no one will care, they'll just chuckle and move along, but the other way around is suddenly a big deal that everyone has to make a stink about. It's been that way forever, or at least since 2008 when I came alone.

You actually made me laugh. First laugh I've had on here in a while. Thanks.

Humorous but true.
Liberals do tend to get a pass from their own kind for trolling the right but a conservaive trolling the left is nothing short of criminal in their minds.
Those of us who've been on WP for a long time know from experience...

Don't you realize that right or left, all these candidates are wasting your lives stressing you out enough to scream at your computers? Obama's making me spend my state taxes on holding Guantanamo prisoners when I never voted for him because I know how to spot lies (quite a big part of my job actually) - that b!tch of a prison on stolen Cuban land tortured a schoolteacher and still kept going under bipartisan rule. I didn't opt Gary Johnson for cheaper weed, I did it because innocent people are to this day being robbed of their rights to fair public trials. Fat lot of good a gun will do for you if you get dragged out of bed in a bodybag.

Trump's not rich enough for my standards anyway if that's the measure of a man for you. Can't you wrap your heads around the obvious fact that if you want big money in power, a Rothschild is the way to go? Too bad for you guys they're Jewish. People centuries ago knew damn well politics isn't a family business and what have we learned therein today? A good friend of mine is descended from a long history of such resulting regicides. Furthermore most if not all candidates implore their constituency to direct their kids eighteen & above on which way to vote; that alone is no small crime should they happen to live next door to any polling place.

I agree. Democrats, Republicans, what's the f*****g difference? It's sad that the US has a duopoly controlling its government. Not that Canada's system is much better, being that we have five main political parties in our parliamentary system, but that's still over twice as many, and I think it does a better job of representing the wide range of opinions and viewpoints people in this country have.

I think the US would benefit a lot from having more major political parties, or at least better-funded independent candidates.

Choosing between Trump and Sanders however, I still like Sanders a lot better, and hope he wins the election. At best he'll probably just be a harmless president like Obama, but a harmless, ineffective president is better than someone like Trump who has the potential to be harmful AND effective.

Eh, he's been scrambling all year to spin his gun record and 'evolve' his position on the issue, which I'll grant him is still better than Hilary's record on most things.

Actually the reason no one cares is because the moderators routinely chase off all the trolls. You've been here too long for us to see you as one & taken it as carté blanché. If a new mod shows up you've given them every reason for an IP permaban.

Who do you think bird-dogs the trolls for them to chase off? I won't go so far as to say I wrote the rules for PPR, but I certainly contributed to that sticky from Tallyman at the top of the page laying out the unofficial PPR code of conduct, and I put in a lot of behind the scenes rules-lawyering establishing the more relaxed policy enjoyed in this forum.

More to the point, how many new mods do you think we've been through since I've been here? One dozen? Two? More? I don't know what you think it is that I'm doing that any mod would find worthy of a perma-ban, especially considering how many of them have dealt with me over the years without problem, but I have noticed that you like to pop up and take potshots at me from time to time, so perhaps you're not rational on this topic.

Who are you even talking to? And why would whoever it is having a boyfriend disqualify them from being "one of us"?

I kinda assumed that, but that "you can't be one of us if you have a boyfriend" still sticks in my craw if he means what I think he does; to borrow a word from the social justice world, I find that viewpoint problematic.
