It's better than arguing with someone who has made it no secret that they hate Israel. At least Kortie appears to be pretty unbiased. I am against the Palestinians, you are for them. That makes neither one of us a very reliable source of information on the subject.

I tried to respond to your post before you deleted it, enz. But, it was gone. Why did you delete it? It provokes good discussion.
Another point I would like to make now that I am calmer:
I have commented that I am a believer in God and science. I am very aware that the Jewish people have been very disobedient to God, throughout time. My support of Israel is not because I believe they are 'right.' Some Jewish people are very good people, some are probably not so good. My support of Israel is twofold, 1.they won and should not be denied the rights of a victor in war. 2. I have been instructed to by my faith. This instruction has nothing to do with how wonderful the Jewish people are. It's about a promise. That kept promise is how I track a prophesy through time. So, no matter what chaos happens in the world, the land of Israel stands as a beacon of God's faithfulness. It's a fact; irrefutable.
I was once asked if there was anything that could shake my faith? I said, 'if Israel fell.' So many people make the mistake of equating the fulfillment of prophesy with 'goodness.' Meaning, " Israel/Jews are good, therefore good things happen for them." Nobody is that good, we are all flawed. The Jewish people have been especially disobedient and they've paid for it. But, a few remained to live on and fulfill the prophesy. The return to Israel, Israel itself, it's prosperity is a testament to God's faithfulness, not Jewish goodness. My acceptance and support of Israel is my respect for God's promise. Because without that promise, what evidence would I have? Israel is hard proof that what was written, passed down through time is still being brought forward now.

In the new testament, Samaritans are the enemy, yes. That doesn't mean that the Philistines (today's Palestinians) weren't the enemy of the Jews. I don't get this post. People can have two enemies...
The rest is you trying to argue right from wrong and apply it to Israel. Israel doesn't even believe in the New Testament, so any teachings applied by Jesus would not resonate with them. They do extend kindness again and again, but as soon as the Palestinians throw a rock or launch a rocket, Israel responds in kind.

(Samaritans were the mortal enemy of the Jews)
In the new testament, Samaritans are the enemy, yes. That doesn't mean that the Philistines (today's Palestinians) weren't the enemy of the Jews. I don't get this post. People can have two enemies...
The rest is you trying to argue right from wrong and apply it to Israel. Israel doesn't even believe in the New Testament, so any teachings applied by Jesus would not resonate with them. They do extend kindness again and again, but as soon as the Palestinians throw a rock or launch a rocket, Israel responds in kind.
