Honestly, a Sanders nomination probably would have doomed the Democratic cause in 2020.

Unless Democratic turnout, say, topped 90%.

High Democratic turnout is an essential key to their success.

Who has "Robin Williams syndrome"?
I don't really understand what you are saying.

I'm a creative person, joke wise,
Probably largely due to my ADD.
But also, I'm a rather profound thinker.
Not brilliant,
Just deeper than the average bear.
It is a manifestation of my "Asperger-ship"
It takes effort.

I have no problem with going into detail in my explanations.
The internal mechanism works very well.
It is the difficulty of deciphering the blocks of type, particularly when it is large/in-a-large-mass.
Semi-dyslexia, remember?

Have you ever wondered why I space out my paragraphs?
Not only does it feel better for me, when I re-read what I have written,
It is easier for others to read.

You and I both have what I'm describing as Robin Williams Syndrome, although the 'balance' likely isn't the same. Obviously, he had it too. I'm basically describing where your brain behaves like one of his characters, you know, it's like he's providing your inner monologue. I'd imagine in situations where you can speak you're able to explain things better because you can let yourself ramble a mile-a-minute instead of trying to force that much thought out through the "smaller nozzle" so to speak, of text communication.

When I create posts I do similar to what you do, but then try to pull them back together to have quasi-normal sized paragraphs because maybe it will keep you guys from figuring out that just like when Minnie cheated, I'm f*****g goofy sometimes.

My thoughts move like knights pieces and I'm pretty I learned how to rap because I already had a tendency to make weird analogies, wordplays, etc. It was really just a matter of figuring out how to arrange my syllables.

I admit I really enjoy Joe Biden. He has become the worst public speaker I have ever heard. This is even funnier because I would say President Obama is one of the best.

I know Sanders would have been a hard sell to some, but I would have loved a Sanders/Trump debate. They would have been forced to confront their similar positions on some things, and President Trump could not argue with zingers because Of Bernie’s personality. It would have to be a policy debate.

But what about Warren or Klobachar? They both had strong platforms. Cory Booker didn’t have as defined a platform, but he was a good speaker. I can’t believe that most democrats preferred Biden over these guys.

to be fair [a bit] it needs to be noted that biden deals with stuttering, so some of what seem to be verbal gaffes are instead the reality of choosing a "ready" word instead of the "right" word.

Warren has the baggage from the whole Native American thing, and Klobuchar was the county attorney back in 2006 when the cop who killed George Floyd (Derek Chauvin) among other officers were being investigated for a lethal shooting. Not necessarily illegitimate given the lack of details, but really not a good look at the moment. Also:

Quote:
Klobuchar, who has been floated as a possible VP pick for presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, also did not criminally charge other cops involved in more than two dozen officer-involved fatalities that took place during her time as prosecutor from 1999 to 2006, according to the Star Tribune.

I’m rather like Biden myself in the speaking sense.

His problem, perhaps, is that he’s rather mainstream—though that might work to his advantage, too.

Warren did a ridiculous thing by claiming she’s Native American.

AFAIC, she could have said she was from a planet orbiting Vega, and i wouldn't care. i only care about their POLICIES. everything else is window dressing. and biden better start going into high gear about "return to normalcy."

I am a poor communicator, face to face.
I need a lot of time to think about what I want to express.
Forum communication is the best method of interacting with people, for me.
I can take my time.
A lot of autistic people have agreed, over the years.

May I ask?
What have you been smoking today?
And,
Can I have some?

Yeah, I’m much less “chatty” IRL than I am here, mainly due to the forum setup where you can just hit the quote button and then spend ten, twenty, thirty minutes discovering your own thoughts as you type and retype the same three paragraphs to get the least worst approximation of sense and clarity.

Unless it’s the three(?) occasions where I’ll own I’ve been “triggered” and blasted off a barrage of semi-incoherent half formed sentences wreathed in flame

There’s at least one post somewhere here that I spent over an hour and a half typing: with footnotes! No chance to do that in a face to face conversation, monosyllabic grunts and silence are my norm there.

I also have bipolar in play, which seems to f**k with my cognitive tempo, along with latent inhibition/executive function/attention. Being an overthinking autist I tend to break down the lists of diagnoses I've received into their fundamental parts, so bear with that any time I start talking about that. I think my own mind might be one of my 'special interests', I don't know why, though, it's not even a particularly good one.

I come up with bars like that all day at work, while stone sober. I don't know how I haven't gotten fired, the old plant manager aka big boss who could can me on the spot has heard me rap; I used it to dodge getting in s**t for it although I had utterly no idea it would work, I figured I was already fired for sure so as she was walking by (coincidence, didn't appear to be in a hurry, had spoken to be earlier and cracked a wordplay joke that went over well) and came up with 8 bars (20-30 seconds worth) including that 'minnie/f*****g goofy' wordplay and the distraction of that threw the whole incident so off balance I skipped off back to my zone and basically Eddie Haskell'd it.

No, you'll have to provide your own robo. :clown:
And you probably don't want to smoke one of them, let alone 40.

Hey, whatever works. Ideally we'd all embrace our own eccentricities.

I think you missed his irony and took it too literally.

I think the satire was understood and just caustic. I mean, I agree more with cyber, but I get in general the experience of reading someone's satire that you feel poorly and dismissively frames the issue.
