I took a lot of psychology classes in college as a minor and i loved my social psychology class.I believe most prolly all magic today is sleight of hand.However i think that black magic actually existed in the ancient world because of the Witch of Endor which seems to be an account of necromancy where King Saul talked to some sort of entity or spirit or demon that was or was impersonating a dead Israelite prophet or was really the soul of the dead man.I am at a loss how talking to dead people was possible in biblical times but I believe that sort of thing happened.
